I have a feeling the opt outs will be too much to field a competitive team, it will be like the Kansas St bowl game

There will be a lot of opt outs, but it gives the team the right to practice for an extra month and get a lot of young guys valuable real game snaps. My guess is we would accept.

No, LSU won’t opt out of a bowl game. But… expect almost 1/3 of the players to with early NFL ebtrees, and transfer portal shakeups.

Just when I think you can't come across as any more of an idiot, you blow that thought out of the water.

Yep because bowl prep and those practices are useless.

I can’t imagine spending time to codify this kind of logic by posting it.

What happened last year? For example.

The way to fix opt outs is to tell the player opting out that he won't be welcome at LSU's practice facilities to prepare for the draft and won't be allowed to participate in LSU's pro day.

Seriously, why isn't this stupid account banned? This is preschool level trolling and adds absolutely nothing to the site. It's so bad that it isn't even funny to laugh at.

Or the NFL can say if you opt-out (quit), you'll get drafted no higher than the second round.

why the hell would the NFL do that???

The NFL has no connection with college football and certainly isn't going to restrict when teams can draft a player, just to help bowl games (which, by the way, are privately owned and not run by the NCAA)

The only restriction I'm aware of regarding the draft is that a player must be 3 years removed from high school - but that's not to help college ball, it's to let young bodies mature for the brutal pro game.

Not even halfway through season with only one loss and on here talking about declining a bowl invitation. WTF?

NO.

TWO things I'd take back more than anything else for LSU football

1. Vacating the wins during the Miles era
AND
2. Not playing in the bowl game under Coach O, in 2020.

DON'T EVER MISS A CHANCE TO PLAY A GAME and DON'T EVER GIVE UP A WIN THAT WAS ON THE FIELD.
