We have a top 3 recruiting class but are 106th of 120 schools in offence. Problem

Bama has the money to pay with Penn St.

To cite stats Bama's football program is worth over 70 million. Penn St. is worth $69

LINK

For the back up.

To compare LSU is more valuable than both.

He is winning though. His team will be favored over LSU this coming year and will finish with a good record and screw job away from an upset over UF.

LSU and Arky will theoretically have the same record after next week if Arky wins, and they have much less talent

This is likely, but it doesn't change what I'm asking you. Do you think a top CFB coach wouldn't look at that game and laugh at Miles mismanagement?

He burned a lot of bridges up there.

You haven't answered my question about why LSU isn't a top destination.

Great recruiting. Plenty of money(Only ND, UT, UF, and UGA are more valuable than LSU). Please elaborate

The entire state is too political. Everyone knows someone who wants favors. Tickets, sons on the team, private face time, back scratching, free stuff, access to the program, etc. No one seems to know how to set up barriers around the program. How do you think we got Bertman?

Its gotten better lately, but the word is out that to come to LSU means to open yourself up to God only knows what. Unknown coaches will risk it, but proven coaches only use it as a pay raise issue.

Peterson from Boise St. and Patterson from TCU...simply because they're sick of winning 12 games/going undefeated and not getting a shot at the BCSNCG

Sadly, he wont be. Like all inferior coaches, we'll wait for him to collapse even though we can see the collapse coming. Nature of the beast.

EVERYONE knew Coker had to go but they waited till near catastrophe.

EVERYONE knew Zook blew chunks but......

Generally speaking, people know a guy is gonna get fired BEFORE his catastrophe year.

Bertman was the last AD of that ilk. He was a compromise candidate and with the reawakening of LSU football glory people saw what happened and it ended with the hiring of Alleva who is not part of that network.

I see no proof of this

As far as ceph's comment about the fanbase

We are no mroe psychotic or stupid than many other fanbases(See Bama, Florida, Texas, Notre Dame) and they get good coaches. Our AD is about as rich as they come, we have facilities as good as anyone in the country, we have a great recruiting base....

There are shite ton of reasons why LSU is great coaching destination and there is a perception amongst a lot of fans that we are different than UF, UT, USC, UGA, Bama, tOSU, PSU, or Michigan when we aren't. We are a big time national program with lots of exposure and there is no reason to accept the mediocrity.

If you're implying that same old tired stupid arse argument that coaches will not want to work for LSU if we fire Miles, then you don't merit a response. That's the stupidest, most overused "argument" for keeping a shitty coach.

And the Tiger 1/Panzer was a great tank. The rhetoric and job descriptions of the LSU job by yourself are so dated in nomenclature. And do little to describe the LSU HC position of 2010 forward.

Wow, LSU also used to pay lousy, have a pitiful weight room, and training facilities, etc..

Are there any other tired cliches non-pertinent to today's LSU Program, that you would care to use?

Buddy, Saban is at Bama for the rest of his life. He's never leaving. Saban fricked LSU by waiting till the last second on leaving for the NFL.

I listen to Bill King on Rivals Radio in the am on the way to dropping kids off at school - he has said at least 2 different times over the past month, "Can you imagine what Brian Kelly could do with LSU's talent"

The Tiger I was a very good tank, but, not a great tank. The design reflected pre-WW2 notions of tank design.

The advent of WW2, particularly the Russian Campaign, demonstrated that sloped armor was the way of the future. Indeed the very best tank designs of WW2 featured sloped armor.

The Tiger I, of course, had no sloped armor. Thick armor, yes. Big gun, yes. It could take punishment, and ruled the battlefields of 1943. However, by summer 1944, the Tiger I was becoming obsolete, made so by more modern designs such as Panther. The Sherman Firefly was fielded with a gun powerful enough to destroy the Tiger I's frontal armor.

The other problems with Tiger I were that it was difficult to mass produce because it was so expensive and complex.

So, Tiger I was a very good tank, but, not a great tank. Panther was better.

Perhaps the very best armored fighting vehicle of WW2 was the Jagdpanther, which had the Tiger II main gun placed upon the Panther chassis.
