I wish. FSU has a much easier run to NC. Bowden turned down invite for FSU to join the SEC because how tough the SEC was. The SEC them gave the 12th slot to USCe

Not sure why all of the love for Jimbo. He already has two losses this season too. And he plays in the ACC. What makes any of you think he would do any better at LSU? FSU always recruits well, so he has talent. He can develop a quarterback though.

Jimbo isnt that much different from Les

He's stubborn in that he won't hand over play calling to an oc

Also loses a game just about every year he shouldn't to a far inferior team Jamies overcame that but few qb's can

Well if not Jimbo then who? It seems that most people think Fisher would come to LSU if LSU calls. I have thought about him or Tom Herman and have struggled with that choice.

Well no coach is perfect

Jimbo recruits with the very best of them and he does well with quarterbacks.

The talent he has assembled has remarkable.

I would favor Jimbo over Herman, just because I don't know if I trust the hot up and comer over a more proven HC.

Jimbo is only 50 too.. That's pretty awesome

Exactly what I have thought. He does a great job recruiting and would only continue that in this state. He is younger but it is much more proven than Herman. I just have a feeling that we would miss out on the next great coach if we pass on Herman.

Why would Jimbo leave FSU for LSU?

It has been said that LSU would be one of the only jobs he would leave FSU for and it is no secret he loves LSU and Louisiana.

Haha...is that why Jimbo is 4-2 against him, beat him with a backup QB last year, won 3 straight ACC titles and won a BCS title while going 14-0? Please... By the way, what does LSU's recruiting rankings say?

FSU won the title against a team LSU destroyed. They would have beat FSU that year. If they were in the sec west they never win a title.

Yes, we looked good againt Auburn and won. I credit Miles and the team for that. However, they got a lot better as the season went on. The bottom line is that Jimbo did what no other coach could do against the SEC in the biggest game for years - win. Jimbo isn't perfect and has his flaws, but he is a good coach. I clearly remember Rohan Davey getting hurt against #2 Tennessee in our first SECCG and Jimbo completely surprised the Vols by using a basically unknown Matt Mauck to move the ball and win against them with calls that used Mauck's abilities.

And you fricking people acting like Fisher would drop everything he's built in Tallahassee for a chance to come back to BR are what is wrong with our fans. Absolutely no self awareness or perspective.

The OP asked "IF LSU were able to get Jimbo Fisher would you go for it?" This is not that hard to understand. They are answering a question. By the way, everyone laughed when the Saban to Bama rumors first started like it was the biggest joke ever. So you never know what is possible when it comes to these situations.

Why in the world would he come here? FSU is an easier and better gig than LSU. Should've kept Jimbo.

Jumbo has a beast in Florida State. The only competition he has in the ACC is Clemson. Why would he leave that to coach in the SEC where everyone is good?

When does Jimbo drop more 2 games a season

Also, LSU beat Auburn early on that season.. but Auburn did get it rolling later on that year..

and still.. FSU won.. they won the title.. that is what matters.. I don't care who they lost to prior..

I'll take a championship by a point, even if it's over some team that lost..

We have a coach that's been to two national titles. Jimbo 1. He's not an upgrade.

I'm not knocking his qb skills. He loses bad games just like Les. Wake fricking Forrest. Really?

Well, he has as many titles as Miles and FSU was only ranked in the top 25 in one of the four seasons prior to his arrival. LSU had won the naional chamionship just a couple of years before Miles arrived in Baton Rouge.

Jimbo is not a perfect coach. Yeah, he lost to Wake Forest. What was that, his 2nd year? Saban lost to UL Monroe in his first year...got drilled by Utah in the Sugar Bowl, etc. It happens.
