It’s not that we hate O. We just think LSU deserves a better coach. No other team would even interview him for the head coaching job and we gave him a 12 million dollar buyout. Also, I have heard the real story how the whole jumbo, Herman, and O situation happened. Let’s just say we have O for all the wrong reasons and will soon be very happy with the state of LSU athletics. By soon I mean 1-2 years

None of those are football behemoths. However, in light of last year's TROY debacle, I wouldn't be shocked if O loses to one of these.

If our schedule was not the hardest in the country, would there be less hate for coach O?
As much as I hate to say this, if Miles was the coach most fans would feel ok about the season. I wanted MILES GONE MORE THAN I CAN EXPRESS.

Is he still the worst coach in Ole Miss history in this made up scenario?

We can be playing all FCS teams and they would still say 6 wins and the talent sucks

I wish everyone would STFU and just watch the games.

Y'all have to stop saying this crap. It is a tough schedule, but every preseason schedule rank I've seen has it between 5 and 7, most having TAMU and AU with a tougher schedule.
We get the three best teams we play at home and Miami is neutral site where literally 75% in attendance will be in purple and gold.

Quit bitching about the schedule. It doesn't come close to 2011.

I say 7-5.

Could be 9-3 if we didn’t have to play both UGA or UF. The Miami game will be tough, but I believe LSU wins this one.

Nope... but of the hate has more to do with Miles than the schedule.

I think we will surprise many.
Last year we won 9 games w 2 big losses....and limited offense.

I think we may win 10 games if we get a call or two going our way. Specially if our style changes drastically and we can surprise one or two teams.

I choose to think positively.

Then they would just complain about the shite schedule.

We finally get a tough one with premier home games against top 5 teams, now it’s “the schedule is too difficult”

He was not qualified for the job. Period. Now, he may wind up being successful, although the odds are not good. I hope for LSU’s sake that he does. But don’t expect me to bury my head in the sand and act like he deserved the job.

"if blah blah would you blah blah"

This is what happens when you half-arse a coaching search for LSU football. Amateur Alleva deserves every bit of the heat he's getting. Don't like it? Tell O he needs to beat Bama.

The year's schedule seems to be more normal and than the outlier to me.

I've said it so many times on this board. Even with this schedule, we'd be talking playoff contention if this were a Miles coached team. No one EVER made talent excuses for Miles. No one EVER made schedule excuses for Miles. This whole lowering the bar bull shite is the reason O never should have been hired in the first place. You can't go from expecting to compete for the SEC every season to being ok with 8-4 or 9-3 seasons.

This is what the O haters have been saying for going on 2 years now. If this is the new norm, why did we fire Miles?

how exactly does a fan on a message board "sabotage" a football coach?

and the Bama obsession continues...

You do realize Bama plays in the West, so that's a pretty tough road right there. Their permanent East opponent is Tennessee, which has been crappy lately but in years past was very strong.

And the past 10 years, in the regular season, they've played Florida State, USC, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Penn State, Penn State, Va Tech, and Clemson.

To theOP:

How do you feel about last season, considering 4 of Orgerons 8 SEC opponents fired their coaches, and a 5th sec opponent played with an interim coach the entire year?

Last year he had the easiest schedule possible. It will never get easier than that. Ever

This year he has a tough schedule. These things even out

Bringing up last years record and his ole miss record is not “sabotage”.
