It's statements like this that make me keep regurgitating the JJ statement.

JR was a better QB than Flynn at LSU...
In terms of physical talent, very true. In terms of the success to which he led his team, no, he wasn't. JR was not mature enough to lead any NFL team his rookie year...Flynn wasn't talented enuff. But having been able to sit and watch and learn, and seeing what he could do v. NE last year and then this year v. Miami, it's clear the maturity level and time to learn allowed Flynn to develop into a BCS NC game MVP and now a highly paid free agent who Bellichek wanted based on what Saban had told him, but took a chance he'd get him as undrafted free agent and lost. Flynn will be successful...word out of Miami is that they'd rather take a chance on him than Manning. Money probably plays a big role in the preference...except that we're talking about the feelings of the fans as expressed on sports radio, etc., and LeBetard on his ESPN program!

Flynn was not a great qb at LSU. JR was a great qb at LSU. To suggest that Flynn was a better qb, AT LSU, than JR I stupid. JR's final season dwarfs anything Flynn did. It just so happens tha Flynn was the qb at LSU when losing two games could get you a national title.

I am simply amazed at your comments. I try to grasp at your logic and come up with thin air. Stats aren't the end to all means. Look at the big picture. Who was on the staff during those years? Who made the decisions effecting those players? Who was the leader on each team? JR in '06. Flynn in '07. Who was the leader in '08,'09,'10, or '11? JJ sure wasn't the answer was he? It's always the same thing in your comments. JJ was never intended to be in this conversation.

Be amazed all you want. Flynn wast a great qb at LSU. Avg at best. Facts back up my statement. Fan boy statements back up yours.
ETA: the only reason I even mentioned JJ was to show facts that Flynn was a avg qb while at LSU. Sorry if you don like facts!

I don't post often. Usually on a very engaging post. Unless a post like yours just drives me to say something.
Again I remind you that this subject was never intended to include JJ.
Also, this isn't necessarily about Flynn's talent level. As well as it not being necessarily about JR's mental capacity. It is about where would they be if they had switched roles...
Please take another look at the subject line again.
This JJ fixation is like a REALLY bad hemorrhoid, the more exposure it gets, the more painful it becomes. So please stop the JJ love and get back to the subject line.

Shut up. I responded to a poster saying Flynn was better than JR. I don't hav a JJ love afair at all. You can check my post history. I wanted Lee to remain the starter. All I did was post facts about Flynn and JJ qb rating. Also who the frick are you to tell me what to post about. I'll post about cereal in this bitch if I want.

This is what I replied too. So posting that JJ's qb rating ad flynns qb rating was used. Don't care that you don't like it

Completely false. You've got an owner that is worried about competing with the Heat and the Marlins and their new stadium for the South Florida sports entertainment dollar. You've got a GM that is one more mediocre season from being unemployed. The Dolphins are all about winning right now and money is not an object. I wish it wasn't true, but there hasn't been one single local rumor that the Dolphins prefer Flynn over Manning. And LeBatard basically said as much in his column this morning.

Where is Matt Flynn spending St. Patty's day?

Flynn may not have had great statistics as compared to JR but he must have been a pretty good leader. With a less a experienced offense, didn't we set a record for offense that season.

This.
The Raiders have historically been a court of last resort for players like JaMarcus. If you frick up and blow it there, you are truly a bust.

No you have it backwards. It is an organization that drafts on talent an measurables alone, with a weak coaching staff. Numerous times the players they draft don't do shite in Oakland , then sign a contract with a diff team and finally get some coaching.
