The HC isn't the sole decision maker in whether or not a guy plays.

If he is legit hurt…I mean career-ending hurt, then don’t play him. But he better be career ending hurt. Kids are soft today.

What can Ed do?
If Stingley is hurt, O can’t make him play. And if, more likely, he decided to quit and prep for the draft, not much O can do about that either.
I’m no fan of O, but his hands are pretty much tied either way here.

So you’re saying he should play on a torn ACL? What about with a broken collarbone? Neither of those are career ending, so he’s soft if he doesn’t play through it?
