If anyone thought this was a national championship team before the season started they are dumb. Danny Etling is our quarterback...

All we needed was a game manager at QB with our defense and our running game according to 90 percent of this board before the season. The narrative changed

mediocre at best Miss St. team

bullshite! MS became mediocre only after they lost Fitzgerald against Ole Miss. Before that, they had lost to Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. You could at least try to be half-assed honest in your trolls.

I don’t think either Jimbo or Herman would do worse than O did this season at LSU and you can actually be optimistic about next season with both

Texas is not more optimistic about next season. Did you make this up?

Texas is losing it's top O-lineman/men to the draft. The other top linemen are transferring. I went to Texas' 24/7 board to see them gloat over their #2 ranked class. There is no gloating and they are not happy.

A post from a UT fan on LSU's recruiting board.

Yes. Yes you do play us in 2019. Herman might not even be the head coach then.

Does that really sound like optimism??

A couple from Shaggy Texas:

https://www.shaggytexas.com/board/showthread.php/163584-Texas-O-line/page33

quote:

What's really bumming me out is right now I am failing to see how we get more than 6 wins next year with the OL we will have in place in 2018. Worse, I'm not sure we can recruit our way into a cure until maybe 2019. I'm usually a huge optimist and at the beginning of the year I thought 8 wins was about right, after spring OL attrition I was thinking more likely 7 with almost no chance of only 6 wins

quote:

also, this doesn't bode well for next year...losing 68% (61/89) of the starts on your final 2 deep of the year is a bad thing.

quote:

Four of those lines are likely because our coaches are $#@!heads and the players would rather quit than put up with their junior high bull$#@!.

Exactly. That's why I don't get the constant drag about Troy. It was an lowpoint in the team sure, but that one game is not an accurate description of the season.

Never quote this board. This board is full of dumbasses. To win a Natty, you need a QB who can throw. Etling was not that guy and never will be.

I’ll hold my judgement on O and Canada for next season, when they have a QB they are coaching, not one they are stuck with.

Please tell me you aren't so stupid that you don't know that Miss St.'s last game every year is against Ole Miss.

Remember when Jimbo beat Florida 31-13? That was the very same year that Ed Orgeron's Tigers lost at home to that very same Florida team that was filling roster spots with the bottom of the barrel.

You're right I remember. O took the handoff and ran the wrong way....damn him!

I never once remember the players getting blamed for the losses with Miles, why did we change that for O?

Neither of those coaches lose to Troy this year IMO

And it's the correct opinion

He fumbled in the redzone and missed a chip shot field goal too!

And then when he tried to push a guy out of bounds, he took it 90+ yards to the house.

Dammit O!!!

This point is lost on most. We weren't going anywhere with DE at the helm.

Then you're not paying attention homer. JJ was constantly blamed for the biggest loss in LSU history.

And Josh Booty was crucified when he single-handedly lost to UAB.

Same exact record

People would be pissed.

Especially if we lost to Troy.

People would have been calling for O or miles just the same

Every game is a unique event. Teams can play very well one week and crappy the next. Really good teams can level it out better, but a football season has its ebbs and flows from week to week. It's just the way it is.

On the previous page you were bashing because of the Troy loss.

But when it's Jimbo losing by 43 points to a team LSU beat that very season it is just ebbs and flows, so everything is okay?

Losing to Louisville isn’t the same as losing to Troy
