You don't get that title buying a basketball team. Football rules the roost around here and always will. He is spending his money where it benefits him the most. If you want to help basketball why doesn't your family contribute and sign a player to a NIL?

How many times we gonna go over this? Generally speaking, the LSU fan base & the state does not care enough about basketball for big money to dump Kentucky type money into the program.
Hell, look at the pelicans. They had some real good teams a few years ago with Davis and Holiday and the state didn’t give a shite. Hardly anyone in Nola even cared. Louisiana doesn’t care for basketball. Never has.

Joe you need to enjoy your retirement man. Deals are being processed according to folks in the know and Wade mentioned not long ago that we’d be in a really good spot very soon with NIL.
I know it’s hard to grasp, but all states don’t legislate this stuff the same and that’s been part of the battle. Also, the lack of clarity surrounding what is permissible has led to many schools not going full blown old school SWC just quite yet.
Again, enjoy your retirement. Your ouster wasn’t solely bc Woodward wanted to come home. Stop posting all the bitterness about his every move. Time will heal your pain
