If F King leaves w/ the perception Wade "did it", it will be bad for LSU

Do you really want the perception that LSU's basketball coach caused the firing (if it even occurs) of F King Alexander?
It is a terrible look for LSU. Don't say that is not one battle cry - it is posted here frequently.
Do you really want LSU to become the Evangel of colleges where sports > academics?
I want LSU to be successful in sports, but I don't want LSU to end up with the reputation that it is all about sports only at LSU.
I also realize the financial benefits to the school.

I think most people saying those things are doing so tongue-in-cheek.
The reality is that if F King is given the axe, his and the AD's bungling of the Wade situation will have been the final straw of many screw-ups, both related to athletics and academics IMHO

I have no problem if those issues result in his termination.
LSU needs a President that will make it the greatest public university in the South.
ETA: Since this is Louisiana, I have my doubts whether LSU would hire someone who could lead LSU to huge successes at every level.
