If Daniels gives these receivers chances to make plays we will win Saturday.
Posted by Phillytiger9

JD needs to give these receivers 50/50 balls Saturday. We will win those matchups all day. The receivers must make plays and Daniels needs to be less scared.
I think Denbrock and Kelly will create a good game plan allowing our star studded receiver group to shine against this weak secondary who is MISSING their best corner in Warren Burrell.
I trust the defense on Saturday to show up. Limit the big plays and put pressure in Hookers face.
Confidence is building.
Biggest game we’ve played since the Natty.
Let’s GEAUX.

I feel better and better about this game.
I honestly think Mississippi State is better than Tennessee

Some of you are setting yourself up for disappointment if you think JD can magically learn how to throw the ball in under 7 days time.

I agree. If we can pass the ball downfield, it will be “surprising” to Tenn. and will open up our run game a bit. It will also help keep the Tenn. offense off the field.

If they play man, they need to just give go routes to who ever whether its boutte, jenkins, nabors, bech, or thomas those guys have more than 50/50 chance coming down with it

Establish the run first and this will open up the pass. Have to keep them guessing. Take shots downfield. Their defense is not very good. No turnovers. LSU''s defense is stingier and should be the difference. TN likes the crossing pattern. Hooker likes to take off up the middle and the right side. FL got over 400 yards passing and 31 first downs. Plus TN had a week off. Which can hurt when getting the timing back. LSU at home with our defense. I like our chances.

Not making any assumptions here but comparing Tennessee’s numbers from 2021 and to this point of 2022, they are extremely similar.
(Quick Sample)
#128 Passing Def 2022 / #122 Passing Def 2021
#1 Total Off 2022 / #9 Total Off 2021
Their biggest improvement seems to be 3rd Down and Red Zone Defense, outside of that, they are the same 7-6 Tennessee that lost every big game last year.

Why am I getting downvoted saying State is better than Tennessee?
State beat the shite out of A&M
Pitt took UT to overtime

Throwing it isn’t the problem dumbfrick. But that’s about the level of critical thinking I’d expect from you so carry on. Burrow didn’t learn how to throw the ball better after UCF in 2018 FYI

Or he’ll throw interceptions and we lose. I prefer it go down like you say though.

It would help if 1/4 of our offensive plays aren’t forced to get Mason Taylor the ball

The completion percentage up until the Auburn game is a sign that throwing isn’t the issue. Confidence/Chemistry seems to be the issue

Rewatching some FSU highlights and he threw the ball over the middle to Jenkins when he was open. Hopefully their pass coverage is as bad as advertised so they are open enough that Daniels will actually throw it.
Yeah it is dumbfrick. He's not accurate, he has bad mechanics, and he also is Stevie Wonder when he looks down the field. He doesn't know how to throw a timing or anticipation route or throw WRs open. So yes, he doesn't know how to throw it dumbfrick. Probably why we're not calling easy passes early in the game either like slants, screens, flat passes, etc. because he winds them up at 200 mph with no touch and he's also not accurate. These are things that takes years to fix on a QB. He's not going to magically grow the capability to throw in 7 days time. Get real. He regressed at Arizona and he's doing the same thing here now that he's playing tougher competition.
And you're wrong on Burrow. He never started before his first season at LSU. He got progressively better as the season went along and needed things like timing, chemistry, reading defenses to get better. He carved defenses up the last part of the season. That's what you and the dumb media seem to forget. He matured before his senior year when he threw like 12 TDs and almost 1k yards the last few games of his junior year. Burrow was already fundamentally well off he just needed experience. For anyone that actually watched him play his junior year it should've been no surprise he was a heisman candidate showing immense majority as the season progressed. JD has played 3 years already and he has regressed every year. He's regressing at LSU now when he started off well because just like over there defenses figured him out. Old habits are not dying.

I like that our coaches are telling Jayden to relax and take some risks. That will help him relax instead of trying to be perfect, ie no interceptions. I’ll trade 1 int for 3 tds.
I think he has a 300 yd passing day and about 80 running. The Tigers win, DA TIGERS WIN.

Tennessee is over rated.... Period... same shite different year.
If Daniels has 300 passing we win this game going away...

quote:agree. The mason Taylor experiment needs to be put on hold until next year. he should be the 6th priority in the passing game.
