Gus Malzahn will get a shot at a HC job before Crowton.

Why do you say that Crowton isn't a good QB coach? He's put enough middling talent in the NFL to say otherwise. Is it because he had to win with an ill prepared redshirt freshman last year or a not quite ready sophomore this year? It takes a SPECIAL QB to come in and be ready in his first or second year. JJ is doing very well for his age but many of his sacks are a result of youth. He just hasn't been through it enough. He'll get better as the season progresses. Hell he's already gotten better.

Pretty sure he has no intent on taking another offensive coordinator job anywhere. Dude is waiting for a BCS head coaching gig and nothing less. If he can maintain his success at Auburn for a few years he'll probably get it without problem.

Offensive Coordinator at Arkansas in 2006, won OC of the Year per Rivals despite being handicapped by Nutt and treated like shite. Arkansas still finished with one of the best offenses in the nation.

Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Tulsa in 2007-2008, where he won another OC of the Year and Tulsa was near the top of the nation in nearly every offensive stat.

Any coordinators job that opens up at LSU forms a line of worthy candidates.

If he keeps calling plays like he did in the first 4 games, he should go.

Pilsnerpusher, I put a post up before in regards to Crowton's QB coaching issues, and in it I pointed out that anytime he was using a new QB at all his stops, there was a significant dropoff in the offense and the QBs almost always were inconsistent and showed little improvement.

In the end, he's a great OC, but Crowton is by far not a good QB coach. He's average at best, which is why younger/inexperienced QBs suffer under him.

Studs and Porter as co-OC's; we'll run the "Studter" offense.

We have experience dealing with co-coordinators.

Fortunately for them, they were not strong armed into making the wrong decision. They are 5-0 while Buffalo is 1-4, a good coach will never go 1-4 in the MAC in his fourth year and have a have an overall losing record. Gill is not BCS material, although at 45 he still has a small window to convince someone otherwise.
