Miles came back to a heroes welcome the year after he was fired.

Probably had a lot to do with Ed Orgeron looking like a total disaster in 2017

Doubt he would get that today

frick Les Miles he can kick rocks for eternity with his lawsuit. News flash pal you never were CFB HOF material even with those wins. Go eat some grass.

O should certainly be welcomed back with warm arms. People say well look at the state of the roster he left us, true but he knew his time was over and they allowed him to finish out the season and O still gave us a strong effort with what he had left on the team. Walked out of TS with a win over TAMU and a .500 record on the year. (Clearly unacceptable but he gave effort when he could have just easily walked away and left us to finish 4-8)

Only because it was honoring the 07 championship team. It wasn’t honoring Les alone. Also prior to him filing a lawsuit against LSU

Do you think they'd get sideline passes if they wanted?

frick no. You can’t do that to Kelly. Not nearly enough time has passed. Not sure there ever could be for a former coach to be roaming the sidelines.

I’m sure if either one wanted to go to a game, LSU would hook them up with suite tickets no problem. But they’re not putting them out there on the 50 in the lower bowl with the fans, and they won’t be honoring them on the field unless it’s with an NC team anniversary celebration.

It would be cool to see Saban in an LSU shirt at a game now that he is done coaching

you do realize that he is just suing to get his vacated wins back right? He is not suing LSU for any money

He’s suing the program that made him. He would be NOTHING without LSU.

This fricking guy inherited a Ferrari with a full tank and drove it till the wheels damn near fell off. It got to the point where it seemed like it was actively trying to be bad offensively. Could you imagine Les in this NIL/Portal era? Laughable. Dude had no business being HC at a program like LSU. Sure as hell had no business winning a championship. It was the flukiest of all flukes in the history of CFB. The shite that had to happen for them to get a shot would never happen again.

Poke fun at Orgeron all you want. He had 10x the resume that Les had when they got the LSU job. O was an extremely well connected and experienced coach in the profession. Everybody knew and respected him. Nobody respects Les

Miles would have to save a school bus full of children from drowning to salvage his reputation at this point

I think that was all Orgeron. But for Burrow, I suspect LSU would have looked like 2020 & 2021 by 2019 or even 2018.

The is an ongoing law suit, neither party would be willing to put themselves in that sort of position until that is settled.

He is suing to get his wins restored, LSU is probably OK with losing that one. They restore those wins and tell the NCAA we had no choice due to a court order

Bollinger, Schoest, and several other companies would welcome Coach O to their suites! Woodward may have to hide or wind up stuffed in a trash can.

It’s the truth. Les was a mediocre OK State coach that somehow beat OU twice. O was Pete Carrol’s right hand man for many years, he goes way back with Jimmie Johnson and had extensive experience and connections in recruiting circles. Was a no brainer.

They won national championships. WTF else needs to be said. Honor them.
And that doesn't mean there aren't ill feelings towards anyone. It's a football game and we honor football coaches who took us to the top
