If Clark plays: a running game is a young QB's best friend

I know it's a old adage but we should be comfortable with Clark if our ground game is effective.
Clark is mobile and appears to have a nice arm with good touch.
The real question is how will he handle the pressure and not get confused by the looks he's given by the defense.
He has obviously shown some talent in the first two games in mop up duty.
Then again, maybe this is just a minor injury that will heal with rest and treatment or, perhaps doubtfully, it's a diversion.

Regardless of who the qb is Saturday, LSU will be run heavy to win this game. Gotta keep Chambliss’ arse off the field.

Running game was not too successful against Louisiana Tech. Offensive line needs to get it together.

Agree. No Starting Qb that is a great runner and a OL that couldnt get a running game going against La tech with our RB's. Not a good formula heading into hostile territory.
Add Lanes record against top 10 teams as HC i believe is 1-8 .Our defense will keep us in it but my tiger glasses are off on this offense currently.Posted on 9/17/26 at 6:43 am to JohnnyU

There is a reason we scored 35 second half points against Tech.
All the stunts and blitzes they did in the first half, (Almost every play) is not sustainable.

Age is not the only factor. He's young compared to Leavitt's career starts against P4 opponents. He had one start at Elon against a P4 team, at Duke which is the largest away stadium he has played in.
Leavitt has played in Big 12 championship game and a CFP game.

We are going to be running the ball regardless. However, with Landon in the game there will be more QB running game.

You can't just pound it off-tackle when the defense is expecting it (although Les Miles would disagree).

Passing game is in trouble if Clark has to start.
Multiple camp reports noted both backups were having trouble completing passes against air.
Leavitt was the only one of bunch who can throw the ball with accuracy.

I know what you are saying but he has some experience altough it is at a lower division.
