If they both stay this defense will be tops in the country and will lead us to the SEC championship game, playoffs, and possibly the Natl Champ. That is if the offense can improve on the passing game. If Cam is serious about an overhaul, even if it's what we saw against ttech which wasn't anything crazy, LSU WILL contend for a Natl Champ. I agree with next year. You're an idiot to think the year after. Who knows how these recruits will develop.

Dude, you brought a link to the party? We try not to do that here on Tigerdroppings. We take more of a "take my word for it" type approach.

Not so fast my friend.

Defense will be better. But, with scores increasing in college football the offense has to improve if we are going to win the West.

Against SEC west teams in 2015 we scored 21, 45, 16, 14, 17 and 19 points. Take out the high and low score and you have an 18 ppg average. I think that will need to be at least 24 ppg against the SEC west teams to win it. Hopefully we will get it done.

LSU will have very few question marks except for the biggest one, will it have a QB who can make plays? Does anyone think the offensive and defensive talent at Clemson this past season was superior to the talent at LSU except for at QB? If LSU had a QB who could make plays like Watson LSU would be the clear favorite to win the CFP in for the 2016 season.

Going on at least a two-year title run. With all the returning talent mixed with the number one recruiting class it puts LSU in a great position to make A serious run next year and the year after.

i'm sure this will get a bunch of down votes, but i just don't see LSU being a contender next season. that is based solely on the schedule and our coaching downfalls.

I don't see us beating Wisconsin at Lambeau. Bama will get us as usual. I don't care how many players they lose to the draft. We've seen that movie before and it always ends the same. They're totally in our head at this point.

Arkansas has our number and we play them there. If not for Anthony Jennings' best career pass we would have 3 straight losses to them. The last 2 they beat us in dominating fashion.

Then theres the games at Auburn and at Florida. They'll both be better next year and both venues are traditionally very tough places to win at even when they're down. I don't think you can assume a home win vs Ole Miss either.

I don't think we do better than 3-3 out of those 6. Now my opinion could easily be changed if BH shows any resemblance of a QB. Down the stretch against the tougher teams he looked like the 2nd coming of Jordan Jefferson and our play calling certainly didn't do him any favors either. Why we won't use him like Clemson uses Watson I have no idea other than having Fournette. We'll be watching the same shitty plays we've been watching ever since Jarrett Lee's pick 6 extravaganza on '08 excluding the '13 year when we littered with NFL talent at the skill positions.

I'm saying 9-3 or 8-4 and no better than 10-2 which aint getting you in the final 4. Hope I'm wrong.

we beat the same team in '14 by a whopping 4 points 120 miles from the Louisiana State Line Hoss! it's gonna be a tough game to win. you're an idiot if you think otherwise…

I think isolating these games shed light on the issue. It was a legitimate thing to do. But of course you DID isolate them. WTF are you talking about that you "didn't isolate anything"?

No we didn't. Hardly anyone who played in that game is still around. Even coaches have moved on. We've lost to Tulane in Tiger Stadium. Does that mean it'd be a tough game next year? Complete nonsense!

BTW, a Bama fan, using your logic, would say, "We barely eeked out an overtime win against LSU in BR last time. You'd be an idiot to not realize that's going to be a tough game next year." Yet you wrote off the Bama game as an automatic loss. Consistency, please?

Remember he might have had the injury (hernia) all the time. and he was a sophomore QB . No young QB in a pro style Excells right away in the SEC. Remember how Nett could not beat out Jefferson or Lee as a redshirt So.Then how bad he played the first half of the Junior Season. You need a veteran QB in a pro system. Saban did not trust McCarron until the last game of his third year at school.... for me there is no reason to believe Harris will be at least very good...and LSU'S offence.. good enough to beat Bama and Ole Miss at Home. Take care of business at Florida and A&M. We can definetely lose one of those or to Arkansas. But if this two return. We have a Bama type team. A lot of talent on first second and even third team.
11-1 and playoffs if No injuries to Fournette, Harris or Beckwith...

Those two guys coming back are huge boosts;however, unless our offense becomes less predictable it doesn't matter if every single player comes back. Arky, Ole Miss, Bama all know what we are going to run based on our formations. We need better qb play and our coaches need to run power out of many more formations in order to create mismatches!! It's sad you don't see this.

Meh. Any development that Harris has or a new QB is far more important than Beckwith and White for next year.

I hate going into next season with everyone saying "Next Year!" already.

I have always felt like 16 was Les best shot at 1 more sec title.

LSU lost too much on defense with Mett. I figured it would be when Harris or Jennings was an upperclassman.

People saying LSU would win in 14 and 15 were living in delusion. Team was too young.
