I'm here in Shreveport. The word is that Texas warned Toshiro about the overload at OLB in this LSU class. Six is a lot of OLB in one class. Texas had only 3 OLB commits at that point. I don't blame him for changing his mind. Time to move on.

Yes we were absurd and embarrasing in the dome, but it was one game.

In all of 2011 we had the most fun-to-watch team in LSU history. The players were walking on clouds and having the time of their lives.

The players may have sulked for a little while, but you move on (unless your Will Blackwell). The guys leaving look to get ready for the NFL draft or their future outside of football. The players returning start preparing for next season and get excited at the potential their team has next year.

Torshiro was just whining and trying to hide that his high school coach was pushing him to Texas. I have no problem with him being happy with mediocrity, it's his life. Personally, I would rather compete for national titles rather than the sweet Holiday Bowl watches

I'm here in Shreveport and the word is "Decarlos Holmes".
You may be hearing more about him.

He would have been the 7th LB. If I was a pussy that didn't want to compete I probably wouldn't admit it publicly either.

Shiro wasn't goin to be a LB.....he was being talked about as an edge rusher at DE. That's what LSU recruited him for. If he wanted to be a LB then Tx would be a fit becasue he would have less competition and they probably want him at OLB whereas LSU wanted to convert him into Mingo 2.0.

Losing him hurts, but I don't mind if he wanted to goto Texas, the thing that pisses me and every other person associtated with LSU off is that he did it at the 11th hour after lying to the coaches and media. It was immature and shady and speaks to the character and integrity of him, his mother, and his HS coach. If you want to decommit and commit somewhere else, then make the phone call and show respect to the people that have over a year invested in a relationship with you. As I said in earlier posts, very good football player, very shady move, very immature kid. Good luck to him at Texas, hopefully he grows up some and doesn't make the same type of decisions in the future.

well, which is it? he said this too.

Jermauria Rasco and Red River High School product Bennie Logan both served as Davis' hosts.

"They pretty much said (coming to LSU) was a good move for them," said Davis, the third-ranked recruit in Louisiana. "They like where they're at. The only thing they told me about LSU that was bad was that the rooms were too small."

Toshiro knew how many OLB's LSU had committed a long time before NSD.I'm not buying his BS.I'm glad we are moving on without him.

So Toshiro is the recruit that "didn't have the chest" for competing and not Kiel. Do you think if was a typical Milesism that he named the wrong guy? ;)

I will pass on what I heard yesterday from a local high school football coach. Take it for what it's worth.

There were several reasons why Shiro switched:

(1) He was recruited heavily by Bo Davis, a former Bama assistant now with UT and a close friend of Shiro's high school head coach Decarlos Holmes. Holmes is NOT an LSU supporter. Shiro's interest in LSU was through Woodlawn assistant coach, Husher Calhoun, who IS an LSU supporter and who was instrumental in getting LSU to offer Mo Claiborne.

(2) Davis and Holmes kept telling Shiro that he needed to play DE, not LB. They told him that it was better to play DE at a Big 12 school than at an SEC school because his sack numbers would be higher playing in a pass-happy conference like the Big-12.

(3) On his last visit to LSU, Shiro was around some LSU players who were doing certain "activities" that made him uncomfortable. He did not enjoy his last visit.

The coach said that the main reason was the influence of Davis and Holmes pushing Shiro towards Texas.

interesting. I was thinking Texas was still running a 3-4 and thus they'd want him as a pass-rushing OLB. is Diaz running a 4-3?

smoking pot? Cause if that made him uncomfortable, I'm not sure Austin is the place for him.

I've got no problems with him going to UT--Austin is a fantastic city, they have a great program, and are likely to bounce back big time during his tenure. Like others, I think the only thing that sucks is how/when he did it. But why are still talking about this? This is the Tiger Rant and dude is now a Longhorn.

fify. Ex-Tiger Bo Davis, now at Texas, is no friend of the LSU program.

No we are not happy. Are you suppose to be happy that you finished 2nd? I would hate to think that becomes acceptable. Some were hurt by the outcome, but that is to be expected. Do you think that there is no turmoil at Texas right now? Think again. Also, we heard T Davis interviewed by KTBS and he is an idiot. You couldn't understand a word he was saying and he made no sense. He probably can't even spell LSU.

I don't want to root against any Kid. Problem is he didn't play this situation like a kid.
So it makes me think twice about it. Won't bash him. But can't say I'll wish him the best of luck.

Kid has proven himself to be a liar. Why should I care about anything he says from here on out? I cannot trust the accuracy of his statements. This is what you give up when you lie, credibility.
