Anyone else feel the same way? Been wanting a change for a few years now but if Bianco is the hire. I personally would rather just keep Paul.

Give me Paul for 2 years and let's try this again then. That's preferable to Bianco for 5-6 before we realize that losing home regionals is the new normal.

Me too. It's mind blowing that we might hire someone Ole Miss won't be very sorry to lose.

Considering Paul is the better coach I understand why. This was the worst LSU team in decades and he still beat Ole Miss on the road 2 out of 3.

Yes. I prefer another year of Mainieri over the idea of Bianco.

Would Bianco be fired with another season of losing a regional at home next year?

Yea....I mean Bianco brings little if anything to the table that Maineri didn't bring and there are tons that Maineri brought that he doesn't.

I also think Maineri needed to go but not for someone like Bianco....I'd rather hire Cannizaro than Bianco

I wouldn’t go that far, he’s probably better than the current shell of himself pawl. That’s not really saying much though

True. But, if you keep Paul a year or two longer maybe a better candidate is hired.

Both made it to the same round of tournament, and shell Paul took 2/3 from Mikey

I’d only take him back if we already got a sure fire home run hire lined up to come after next

It’s well past time to move on from him

If those are the only two choices then I'd absolutely say stick with Mainieri.

In ALL likelihood Bianco is trying to parachute out of OM (and get a RAISE) before they essentially do the same thing LSU did this year. Nudge out a good coach who has had good results over a long period of time, but one that is just stuck in "really good but not great" purgatory. It is entirely possible LSU hiring Bianco would make Ole Miss BETTER!

I have to believe this is a strong Johnny Jones-esque push by former players/coaches to get Bianco to LSU because in no rational line of thinking does it make sense to force out your current coach simply to replace him with a DIRECT COMPEITOR who is LESS successful

And should have been an LSU sweep.

How pissed off would we all be if we hired Bianco and Ole Miss hired Vitello or McDonnell

Would be horrific. Then Ole Miss just gets that much better while we stay the same. IMO, of course.

The SEC is tough enough. Why would we do this to ourselves?
