Then I'd hope you'd want the female in charge to set aside his differences with Canada and do what's best for the team moving forward and retain him before he promotes Ensminger

He worked wonders with a crappy QB
He didn't work wonders. Etling was better than last year. But, let's not pretend that he was a top third of the SEC type of QB. He was probably below average.

here was all this love for Canada during the season?
Lol, there was plenty of love for Canada, people were trying to sell fricking LSU canada shirts. It is you O nut huggers that have turned on Canada. It is fricking hilarious the hoops you jerk offs will jump through.
I wasnt in love with the offense but you are essentially starting over once again if he leaves. That was the biggest issue I had with the hire from the start. once Canda leaves, you either find someone running a similar offense, or it is back to square 1.
If he does bolt, it was a bad hire from O.

If Etling is speaking out in support of Canada, what's this say about the narrative that the Canada/Orgeron rift started because Canada wanted to start Brennan all year and Orgeron made him start Etling?
I don’t believe the rift was about that. Canada just wanted to play more Brennan with more packages.. Etling understands that.
I’m glad to hear Etling was still in support of Canada. He really seems to love LSU and wants to see LSU thrive.

There's more rumors around here than at a beauty salon in a small town. No one can keep up anymore.

So fricking true

The only time Canada has been "loved" was preseason and now.
In between, everyone questioned him.
He's probably not a bad coordinator, and in some games did a great job of working around deficiencies. However, his red zone offense was horrible and early season confusion cost the tigers a hell of a lot.

That was before the season. During the season it was toxic. Constant mocking of the shifts, no passing game, worried about attracting talent, etc

you guys are off a bit. yes when we lost to state and troy it got toxic. People were singing his praise again once LSU was back on track.
The blame was put on o for fudging with the offense. Yall seriously cant have this bad of memories.

Etling was 4th in the SEC in yards per attempt 5th in QBR and only threw 2 interceptions this year. below average? Pull down the crack pipe.

Canada seemed highly focused in the interview.

Canada gets bashed all year long and now is the most popular man on Campus.

LSU averaged 11 more passing yards in 2017 vs 2016.

I legitimately think he does want to be back next season. He's got 3M reasons why that would be.
I legitimately think he would be back next year if he respected his boss (or even had reason to).
The fact is, it's hard to work for someone that you are far more intelligent than. Especially if that person gets a big head thinking the "only reason we succeed is because of me".

It's Brilliant. He says he wants to stay. LSU writes a 3 million dollar check.

And O didn’t? I don’t recall Canada getting bashed all season. Many were very pleased with the improvement over the season, especially the offensive line play.
