Considering how hard they played for him and LSU. I always say that it is never a wise idea to leave a.job without proper notice...in this regard to the players. It's just lea..ves a bad taste in your mouth!
Nov. 28, 2015 will be very interesting!
LSU will hire the right guy for the job! The personnel on D reminds me of the talent Les Miles inherited in 2005

Don't think so.

They were confused too.

Hope not, so they will be pumped up to play against him next year.

Alleva has given no proof that he can make a good hire.

You think Alleva is going to hire the DC?

Im slowly starting to feel like Miles will pull a rabbit and get a solid dc as replacement.

Why is Chavis the scumbag. Coached his arse off at LSU and Alleva gives him a contract that is not guaranteed for anymore than 6 months at any given time? It's a shame LSU was not loyal to a coach that played a major role in the success is this program.

I'm the exact opposite. I'm afraid he's going to promote Peveto and just try to ride the returning talent.

Didn't he hire Chavis?

Les will not have the final say in who is hired; therefore, it won't be Peveto.

This is a delicate thing. Each coach and school (they have a say here too) handles it differently. Nebraska allowed their guy to do this and he slammed the AD the entire time.

Was this not in his contract from day one?

frick that. Coordinators and position coaches staying when a head coach leaves should be SOLELY at the discretion of his replacement. Having a guy they don't want, no matter how good or successful, will limit interest in the job. That, or force LSU to pay two buyouts instead of one.

If A&M wants to go out on that limb because they are desperate, let them. If it doesn't work out and Sumlin gets canned in 2 or 3 years, they will end of paying Chavis to leave.
