I guess we all see this game in different ways. I saw us getting blown out for the majority of the game but coming back to fight like hell to make it a close game.
As long as our guys never ever quit, like today, I'm good with the effort even in a L.

Rarely do I agree Lester on basketball takes but I agree here.
To be the kind of program we want to be we win games @ mediocre bama. It’s what we did last year and what we did till midway through the season.
Effort has been severely lacking outside of the Auburn game.

The big game is Tuesday. LSU has a ranked team on its home court and so far is 0-2 against top 25 teams. There are no more Top 25 games on the schedule so that could put pressure on the SEC tourney for LSU if they still need a quality win.

This team starts 4 guys who were top 100 players in their classes and a 4 year senior starter. The constant excuses after loses is tiresome. This is a VERY talented group.
You’re right. Losing on the road in the SEC is not a sin. It happens. But continuing to lose because the staff flat out refuses to fix the one HUGE glaring error on an otherwise good team is incredibly frustrating. Why? Because this team could be really, really good if ANYONE actually cared about playing defense. Coaches, players, anyone

Actually- I hate when we lose a game like this and someone like you come here to point out how it’s virtually impossible to win in a place like that against a team like that. Way to accept failure and keep the bar low. I wanted and expected to win today/ and I’m pissed we didn’t show up and play like we even wanted to be there.

I think the gumps put a lot of stock in this game with their first ever black player being put in their hall of fame.
Didn't mean shite to me or probably the hoops team, but the gumps were fired up to beat us at something.
We are still fine, it's their job to even make the postseason.

Auburn lost by 19 at Bama and needed OT this week to beat them while giving up 22 3-pointers (the most Bama has had in program history). Auburn was also blown out by 21 to UF on the road. They needed double OT to beat Ole Miss on the road. And they are currently losing at Mizzou by 13 at half.
LSU gave Bama their worst beating in SEC play in the PMAC. Every other SEC game they have played has been close. Bama is not a bad team. They just are inconsistent and don't close out games well.

LSU gave up 99 to Vandy at Vandy, a week later Kentucky won at Vandy only giving up 64. Face it man, this team is pretty good against average talent but not a great team. There is no point guard and they suck at perimeter defense.

It's especially hard when you stand around watching the other team score and grab rebounds. If we had played with the kind of effort during the comeback the whole game, we would have one. Ever since the Vandy game we've looked lethargic. I don't know if this team is tired or overconfident or what, but it's on the head coach to get it figured out.

Any loss sucks, but his one is excusable. We couldn't even see the game for 10 to 15 minutes because they were focused on black history month bs.

We are NOT Elite, but we have a legitimate shot at an ELITE 8 run or better if we draw ok and stay healthy! But like almost EVERYONE, we could be home after the first weekend!
Mainly because MOST of CBB is simply JUST like us. Good at times, but with many FLAWS!
Teams ranked ahead of us today that LOST!!!

WVA 2 in a row
Butler 2 out of 3
