I’m not saying he was playing like an all American but he played with smarts and toughness. I thought the way he played against Georgia was how he was going to play against Bama. He is not perfect but I thought he brought some swag to the quarterback position and I thought finally we have a quarterback who is not scared on the big stage against Bama. I don’t know what happened but the miss st game he looked scared out there and it carried over to Bama. I know the last two games were against the two best dlines in the sec but hope he gets it together to finish the season. I know he needs help on the offensive line and our wrs need to get some kind of separation so he can get rid of the ball quicker.

I didn't believe it either when people said he was Danny Etling 2.0. It's time to face the facts though.

This isn't rocket science friend. Our line played two amazing defensive lines and stayed in the back field. It's not Joe's fault, he's a great qb and will go to the NFL, you'll see.

He’s not that great. Decent QB but he’s not the amazing QB people want to believe and E is a horrible OC.

Burrow isn't great, but Etling had 92 yards passing and -15 yards rushing in his first try against Bama with the threat of an all-time great RB in the backfield running behind him. Burrow did at least throw for 184 yards even without a big-name RB behind him and 12 total rushing yards as a team. That's actually the most passing yards we've thrown for against Bama since 2013. And I think Saturday was the most brutal pass rush an LSU QB has had to face since 1/9.

no QB is going to look very good with a bunch of DL crashing in on them. Why even start such a thread?

He had no time to throw. Their DL was gashing our OL. It's as simple as that.

Not a knock on anyone but that's what happened. Miss. State has a great DL as well, similar results.

No, he is not a great QB. Some of you are delusional. He's average at best. He MIGHT get drafted in the last round, and that's if he doubles his numbers next season.

Yea me too.

When I see him running for his life because the O line is so bad, I automatically default to...It must be Burrows fault.

The OLine just could not match up and QB then could not perform.

Ask Archie Manning about QB performance w-out an OLine.

Having said that, he is not that great, that's the reason he was not playing at OSU.
He has style, he is gutsy and I like his leadership (still growing), but not yet great.

I’ll let him know he let you down.

I’m sure he’ll lose sleep over it.

Burrow is good, the offensive line is terrible. Even the best QBs look lost when they're given no time in the pocket.

Swap our Oline with Bama Oline and that game is completely different.

Remember the old Star Trek episodes where there was a force field that protected the Enterprise and her crew from the opposition? Yeah. Joe Burrow doesn't have that. So don't place the blame on him.
