I saw a lot of promise and a QB that couldn't make the big plays when they were there. Was beyond pleased with the defense and how they have stepped up/improved. We had our chances, just didn't capitalize on them.
It also felt like the whole stadium and both teams knew that no matter what happened, Bama was never gonna lose that game. They just choke the life out of teams.

Come next year
I've been hearing this since 2012. I'm bored of that narrative. Next year is always the year, just like the backup QB is the best on the roster every year.
I saw a team that played hard and never gave up and never got intimidated by bammer. But that's not enough. We were the first team to actually punch bammer in the mouth this year but they still kicked our fricking arses by 14 points.
I refuse to lower my personal bar to being happy when we just compete in losses to Alabama... especially when I see a team that fricking played just as physical as bammer did. That was an old fashioned slug fest in the trenches. But where it mattered most, in offensive execution, we faltered time and time again.
Frick Bama and frick being happy that we competed well in a loss. I'm as tired as everyone else of losing to those arrogant arseholes.

The O-flakes don’t know what to do, they predicted we’d get beat 50-0 and we didn’t so they’re turning their misery infected hot takes towards the fans who saw a big improvement over the way we played vs Bama. O and his staff were 2 player mistakes away from having a chance to win the game so their whole world is crumbling down around them.

Their world crumbles a little more every time LSU does something that can be construed as a positive.
They have lost the Jimbo and Herman arguments among others and are getting desperate. I love it, quite entertaining.

We lost to Bama by 14 points.
That’s not something that is new. In fact, this is the first year I sort of thought we had absolutely no chance.
I have to hand it to the players though. They outplayed Bama on the field and except for a few drastic mistakes we would have given Bama a scare like they haven’t seen in years.
But to say the game yesterday was drastically different than the previous 5 years is just you guys deluding yourselves.

quote:agreed. How was this game really that different than any game we’ve played against them the last 6 years, except 1/9/12? We fired a coach who could deliver the same results. It’s not any different and those that think that somehow Oregeron is going to really turn things around are going to be very disappointed.
, that game was not drastically different from our previous encounters with Bama.
People being this excited over a loss is embarrassing

Your dreaming dude. I am not saying the program isn’t improving but have you looked at the experienced talent we are losing? You will be breaking in a new QB and will have no experience at running back and none of the backs on the bench are explosive.

Are you retarded or just completely stupid? This game was much different than our last two losses to Bama. We were not physically whipped at the line of scrimmage this time. We had a chance and as is typical our QB play sucks.
When is the last time we out rushed and out gained Bama? This game was different. You can clearly see the difference in offensive approach.
I disagree. It waa a pretty even matchup in 2016.
