Sorry I have father (and husband) of the year for staying in Fort Worth for 7th grade girls basketball tryouts and letting my wife have my tickets.

I've been to games where it's more electric, but they weren't day games.

I thought it felt pretty good. The crowd was into it most of the time, especially the second half when the sun started going down. By fourth quarter it felt like old times in Death Valley. Very fun game - sorry you missed it.

I stayed on the phone with my brother while he was on his deer stand during the game. I told him if he was so interested in the game, why the heck did he go hunting in the first place.

Description? Okay, here goes: It was a game unlike anything I have ever seen before. This team came together as a team, a unit, and defeated Alabama.

Oh and Alabama still sucks, and Saban still swallows!

I've only been to 6 games in Tiger Stadium, and this one was easily the best atmospehere. The student section was rocking, and in the 4th quarter the whole place was a freakin party. The first half was a little dead though.

After the Randle touchdown, it was probably the best atmosphere in the stadium in quite some time

I disagree. It wasn't anything special for Tiger Stadium, IMO.

I EXPECT a freaking father of the year nomination for taking my son camping.

Fail.

A father of the year would have been training his son to be a Tigers fan by taking him to the game.

.... Georgia in 2003 was BEST EVER...Virtually every square foot of campus blanketed with tailgaters. TONS of Georgia people in town and on campus...Packed Tiger Stadium rocked start to finish ...most electricity I've ever seen - and i been here since '65 ..

4th quarter was a ton of fun, but overall it was nothing special.

07 UF, 03 UGA, 97 UF, 2000 UT, etc. were all lightyears better in terms of atmosphere. If that 75 yard TD doesn't happen, the crowd is non-existent and we lose the game.

I don't think it was even close to those two games...it was dead for the band's pregame routine, and the crowd was dead for the first half.

+1,it was weak for most the game...

Thanks for the testimony. I was a senior at LSU during the earthquake game. There have been several great ones since then. It was my impression that the crowd would likely be a little slow going in because it was a day game and because the majority of fans didn't believe we would win. (I think it was Jordy who said a few weeks ago that we would never beat Bama with this staff.) However, it makes sense that when the crowd began to actually entertain the idea that we could win, things would begin to open up.

Many of us are like lovers who have been cruelly dumped or abused. We are afraid to show any true emotion until we know it is a safe situation.

Can't wait to watch the replay tonight.

How do you go camping the weekend of the Bama game? What a poor, poor decision.

First of all - congratulations on being a good dad.

I have been known to take a portable TV up in the deer stand with me more than a few times.
