I was asked today if TM7 would have made a difference on the last drive...

I am not really sure. It seemed that against Bama his height was a big issue.

But if I had to say one way or another, I would have said no.

I like our young corners, even if there will be some growing pains.

He would help with punt returns.

That scoring play was a mental break down by someone in the secondary. Someone was supposed to be man-to-man. TM was so special because of his instinct. He probably would have sniffed it out.

Mills wasn't supposed to blitz and was supposed to watch the rb.

There was also another 30 seconds or so on the clock, so they had plenty to time to score on the next play, and the one after that, and the one after that, etc. So TM7 or this defense stopping them on that play isn't the end all of the discussion.

Yep, he would've been blitzing instead of Eugene and TM7 was much better at it. Not a knock on Eugene but TM7 was special.

Wow weird a guy from the NE asked me the exact same thing. I think we win that game with TM7. Should have win anyway but he could have definitely made the difference.

He would have made a difference the whole year. When we lost his swagger we lost our identity as a team. It took till the game against bama to establish an identity and its the offense

Mills kind of botched that play. Its not his fault we lost, just he could have done better and not let yeldon run rt by him

Yes, he would have smoked Yeldon on that screen play.

Telson coming out of the backfield on that play would have been his responsibility. I have to think he would have known not to blitz and to trail Yeldon. Instead, we had a frosh who forgot his assignment.

If he would have played the entire game, the last drive would have been moot. Flame.
