I’ll start. Put Berry at DH, Doughty at 3rd, Merrifield/Bianco at 2nd. Floyd shouldn’t be starting. I don’t think he should pinch hit as much as he does. I also don’t think he rotates pitchers too much. I don’t like pitchers throwing in 3 games a week.

Madden mindset plug n play works in bits and bytes, not humans.

Adversity, challenges, etc. are learning accelerators. It is March. Learning phase.

BTW, La Tech is good.

That lacks pitching.

Hate to break it to you, but we've got more problems than pitching

In Nick Saban’s first year he got blown out by Florida and Auburn and lost to UAB. Things still ended up ok.

Not sure you can take Jobert out of the lineup for Bianco or Merrifield. Merrifield is error prone and Bianco is a whopping 1/11 on the season.

Is 3-2 with a 3.5 ERA. I agree he needs to develop a breaking pitch, but his numbers are decent.

He pinch hits according to matchups and as a way for guys to get ABs and potentially emerge as starters. Typically only pinch hits for guys struggling as well, which is what you're supposed to do.

He uses all of his arms to see who he can rely on. Unfortunately, guys shave lacked consistency. Reyzelman and Fontenot, who were supposed to be your go-to guys, are hit or miss.

Because T - Rant has told you that Woodward only gets the best coaches through his big game hunting.

Jay hasn't had the time to be judged yet. What we are seeing is on the kids. The players are not playing even close to their potential and that is their job, not Jays.

See, I am this way too, but we are a BAD team. I've seen way lesser talent play cleaner games. That's what worries me.

Were his teams this messy at his last stop?

Jobert has been awful for the past 3 weeks.

Against bad teams. He can only throw fastballs, and can't even throw them for strikes. He can be a reliever but he is not an SEC starter.

He subbed in for both Berry and Dugas last night, which were awful decisions that hurt us later in the game.

Reyzelman has pitched in 4 out of the last 5 games that we have played. That's a lot. He is probably fatigued with contributed to his wildness last night.

if this team still looks the same in year 3, then we can worry.

Jay is playing with the hand Paul dealt him, and if you’ve been watching more LSU baseball than merely the regionals last season, you’ll understand it’s not an elite one. I realize it doesn’t work that way when you are playing EA Sports on the XBox, but in real life, it’s a reality a new coach who is instilling a new culture has to face. It’s a process, and it’s still very early in the season (only one SEC series has been played). How about seeing how it plays out before saying “I just don’t see it”? Considering that Jay has the number one recruiting class in America coming to Baton Rouge next season, how about seeing how year two and three play out before making a judgement?

First year is always the hardest in a coaching change. Things are changed from previous years and some players accept them and some don’t. Also some of the holdover players have stronger alliances to previous staph than the new coaches which can cause friction. Hopefully things will improve sooner rather than later.

Would y'all give the man some damn time to make this program his? He's been a winner everywhere he's been and there's no reason to think he won't win here. The pitching staff needs a total overhaul. You can't judge these guys until year 3 when they finally have their finger prints on the program. Like it or not, this team was primarily put together by maineri and Nolan Cain. Jay Johnson can only do so much right now. Give him time.

Hate to tell you chief, but outside of Money we really don't have any of those.

Let's not kid ourselves, pitching blew that game for us.

He provides a long ball threat at the very least. Like I said, he needs to be in the lineup over both Merrifield and Bianco, who are both struggling as well.
