I thought LSU was pretty good in the home run department

57 in 32 games--not too shabby.

But Tennessee has 79 in 32 games.

SEC stats

Not taking away from them, they are an elite offensive team, but their home games are played in a band box. Their dimensions are smaller as well as their fence height. Again, they are a talented home run hitting team, but that does come in to play.

I figured as much. But they have impressive stats across the board. I hope they cool off.

We've been hit by pitch 74 times. Missou is second with 46.

I thought we would at least hit a 2 per game average.

Just below that now.

They have also been caught using an illegal bat. So there is that.

Not really. They had a bat that the sticker fell off of but was otherwise approved before and after the Vandy series.

Strangely, the only time they had issues with stickers coming off were with the Vandy stickers.

Wonder how SEC only stats are.

Games away from home would be more interesting.

79 in 32 games is about 2.5 HRs/gm.

They've hit 13 away from home in 9 games, so about 1.5 HRs/gm.

Significant difference.

For comparison purposes, LSU has hit 18 HRs in 10 games away from home, so 1.8/game.

We likely have, what, 8-10 more if our home games were at their stadium?

They hit a pile last year too. But when they got to Omaha and out of that matchbox they play in, those balls were just fly ball outs.

I guess there's only one direction to go from 31-1 (12-0).

Lots of fly-outs anywhere else, except maybe Kentucky.

I think mathematically, they have to. Unless, of course, they turn out to be the greatest team in the history of college baseball.

Lawson, maybe Lipscomb, Lipcius, and Russell are probably products of the park.

Beck, Moore, and Ortega could hit it out of anywhere.

In Houston, the ball coming off of Christian Moore's bat was sounding like it does coming off of Crews or Berry's bat. He's a different caliber of hitter than they've had. He's only a freshman and he's still learning, but I think he's got a really high ceiling.

I do not find this nearly as impressive as only allowing 72 runs(60 earned) in 32 games...

All the people bitching about their stadium size, explain that lol.
