Devils Advocate, what if Wade lied to not implicate the university? In the end, the man paid out of his wife’s bank account to do something that is entirely legal now with NIL (Wade wouldn’t have had to use his wife’s bank account). Even if he did it a dumb way, I’ll always lowkey respect that the man was putting his nuts on the line to win with very little support behind him.
