I think LSU is the 9th best team in the SEC this year:

Realistic SEC rankings:
1. Alabama
2/3. Ole Miss / UGA (either way)
4. Tennessee
5. South Carolina
6/7. Texas A&M / Texas (either way)
8. Florida (with Lagway healthy)
9. LSU
10. Missouri
11. Vanderbilt
12. Kentucky
13. Arkansas
14. Auburn
15. Miss State
16. OU
If you look at the results and schedules -- this makes a good bit of sense. This is also why... schedules needs to be figured out. Texas and Texas A&M are basically a shoe in for the SECCG and its pretty much all schedule. Divisions would have forced them to play Bama / Ole Miss at the very least.

When Vandy beats us you’ll change your tune.

Even if they do, that puts us in the 9 thru 11 ball park.

Either way, yea we are in the bottom half of the conference. So, when we assess Kelly's performance, I think that's accurately damning.

No objective measure puts Florida ahead of LSU when looking at the full season.

The similar records and scoreboard from yesterday's game say otherwise.

Florida's losses this year include:
1. Miami
2. Georgia
3. Tennessee
4. Texas

Considering these teams, which one would you bet on in a matchup against LSU?

Florida's head-to-head victory was impressive. Moreover, for those following college football, it's evident that a healthy Lagway could have significantly bolstered Florida's performance against UGA and Texas.

Objectively, Florida is superior to LSU, and their record shouldn't be the sole criterion, especially since they faced four teams that would undoubtedly defeat LSU, teams that LSU did not encounter.

They’re 5-5, we’re 6-4. They went to OT with Tennessee and kept it close with UGA. We got blown out by Aggy, Bama and lost head to head. It’s closer than you think

Florida's a better team. They beat Miss State BIG and blew out Kentucky. They were actually beating the living daylights out of Georgia before Lagway got hurt and essentially they had no quarterback for 5 straight quarters.

Don't know if Florida could have beaten LSU in Tiger Stadium but they beat us in The Swamp and that's what counts.

Interesting fact about Florida QBs: their last two from the Houston suburbs (Kyle Trask-- QB on the infamous "Shoegate" team and DJ Lagway) are both Phil Steele #1 QB prospects.
