I’m sure Coach Davis has told him that Tristan Wirfs started every game at RT for Iowa

feel the same way about this player that many of yall do. However I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets out of the portal and stays. Now, how will that make the team feel, that he bailed on them in the bowl game, threw a temper tantrum and came back.

Conversations are important to have.

If the player is being influenced by a dead beat broke father, then maybe people will change their minds about Heard.

If you don't want to be a Tiger, you're not LSU material, regardless of talent

I don’t think it’s that personal. He just wants to start. Someone will give him that. We wouldn’t so adios amigo.

No he wants to only start at one particular position.

If he stayed, he would be a starter at RT next year and move to LT as a junior.

So, wherever he is going...they are flat out guaranteeing him the starting LT position ?

no WAY Saban would guarantee that. Kirby either. Freshwater? probably.

He has to go if he wants to be a prima dona or a dictator, he can beat the street with that shite. If he wants to grow as a man and be a teammate then he can stay and stfu

Heard just doesn't get it. It is better to be good at multiple positions. He should have learned the RT OG and RT OT and then he could have played the Left OT when Campbell leaves in 1 or 2 years. It is that simple. The NFL would love his multiple positions.

He's not being a prima donna or a dictator. He is a tremendously gifted lineman who is in HIGH demand and SHORT supply. Players like him are damn hard to find.

People are willing to willing to offer a great deal to someone like Heard: starting position and big bucks.

Heard is making the intelligent decision to maximize his return now.

The NFL will find him wherever he goes, and he will be in HIGH demand and SHORT supply when he graduates too.

Right because coaches never lie to get recruits to sign with them.

If he signs with Ole Miss, it is 100% because Lane tampered and made him promises Kelly knew better than to make.

This is all about money. The family is terribly poor and he is being shopped.

Absolutely awful. Not sure how he doesn’t understand that if he works his arse off for 2 more years here he’ll be in line for a huge payday.

I don’t know if he’s “tremendously talented” or what he’ll do somewhere else. At LSU he was a backup guard.
The program will be fine without him.

No way he is going to Bama. Their starting LT is a true freshman.
Of course I would love for him to stay at LSU, and it would probably end up being the better choice but if he is in fact from a poor family and this is an opportunity to help them out you can't hate on that. That would be impossible to turn down if that is the situation he is in.

I’ll use his actual name that he doesn’t like. Zalance Heard has an arm tattoo that says “money over everything.” That says it all. He wants to play left tackle. He couldn’t beat out a future top 5 NFL draft pick. He’s salty and moved on. Bye Zalance.

Yes, just look at the 2024 signing class so far.

It includes a few good tackle prospects as I recall.

I've got news for you my friend, chasing money is very rarely the best decision in any work place. I know many people who did so and regretted it.

It all depends on the situation...which is why I don't criticize anyone for making the decision they think is best for them.
