1. We very well could have beaten them last year
2. We have better coaches and team overall than last year
3. They have a worse team and coaches than last year

Hence Vegas thinking we win. Am I missing something or is it really this simple?

The dynamic is unpredictable.

Both coaching staffs know each other well.

The emotional factor cannot be written off either.

We also have a turnover issue which is yet another wildcard

I'm thinking if we take Ole Miss as seriously as we took LA Tech we gonna get beat by 10

It will be the most hatred cfb has seen in a long time. In their minds kiffin cost them a title and now they are denying their future of going back to normal (7-5)

Our offensive line is horrible. There’s that.

You really think it is going to work that way? That we won't take Ole Miss seriously?

Is this supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?

I do agree that I think we will win though. I’m curious to see how Leavitt plays in that environment.

We outgained LaTech 250-0 through 1 half. Score was 10-7. We cannot shoot our own foot over and over. The OM defense gave up 320 yards to Charlotte who is probably worse offensively than Tech. Don’t give them gifts and we win.

Do they?
Any offense with Chambliss, Lacy and Alexander is still damn good. Objectively that’s better than we have until proven otherwise.

Ole Miss doubled LSU in total yards, fumbled on the LSU 1 yard line going in for a TD, LSU scored on their last possession and Ole Miss ran out the clock inside the red zone. That game wasn't nearly as close as the score suggests

Yes they absolutely have a worse team and that’s not even debatable

It's never that simple. That's why you play the games

Can’t take anything from this week IMO. We were clearly holding the play calling back and I’m sure ole miss was too

I don't think the offense really has shown all that much for Ole Miss . With Clemson they didn't have to, and Tech has a gimmick defense, they did enough to win comfortably, but the qb play has to improve significantly

Ability to run the ball is the game changer who can do it

If Leavitt takes care of the ball we win, simple as that. Green, Watkins, and Wilson will eat OM’s secondary alive and kiffin and Weiss has seen pete’s defense 100 times. Ole Miss hasn’t played a defense close to ours and I think we do a good job limiting Chambliss and especially Lacy.

And if Ole Miss takes us as seriously as Charlotte we will win by 20
