They aren’t canceling for the cold but anyone who willingly goes and sits through that to watch a midweek game is a bit insane

You realize teams across the country are playing baseball right now in much colder climates right?

Nicholls won’t postpone. Postpone until when. Midweek games are pretty much set for both teams I would imagine.

This is a big home game for them obviously which is a money maker. Stick to making bad posts but leave the weather forecasting and game decisions for others.

They may cancel but not postponed

Pretty sure our LSU softball team would play in this weather too.

My first HS baseball game in Louisiana was played under light snow and freezing conditions.

Should def postpone. These schools get biggest crowd of year playing tigers. Just do it another time.

Nobody gives a shite about fans. They are not taken into the equation. It’s 100% player safety driven. If there’s thunderstorms then it’ll cancel but if it’s just cold and windy it’ll be played.

Forecast is for 37 with wind chill around 24. 15 sustained with 30 gusts. The stands will be empty of all except the most hardy of whiskey drinkers.

They’re playing in cold temps and you want to postpone or cancel? Ask the teams who play up north what they think about that.

You must not have been in Ruston the last time the Tigers were there. Spitting rain, 28 degrees and windy.

It was a good game.

I hated playing baseball when it got below 40. Baseball is not a cold weather sport. You stand around in baseball more than any other sport.

I doubt its cancelled for 41degrees at gametime and 37 degrees at end of game.

With that said, no thanks on being there, itll be miserable to sit through

If they can find another open date later, they will cancel. I surely don't want a pitcher to get hurt in this cold just so Nicholls can get a big payday. Actually, Nicholls probably wants another date just as bad because this weather will hurt concessions even if all tickets have been sold.

I've been outside all day. It's miserable.

Pretty much. It's not any better here in North Georgia, I'm getting pretty similar temperatures. They won't cancel it for that, but I'd rather be doing BPB than being at the game in Thibodaux.

This is about the most pansy thing I’ve read in quite a while. Welcome to life in 2025. Soft as charmin society. I played in that weather in freaking high school and I was just fine. I think college athletes should be too.
