Burrow didn't win the Ohio State job, and was going to transfer to play.

He wanted Nebraska, but they told him no. His options were LSU (2 decades of highly ranked teams, with 2 titles in 3 BCS Championship appearances, about a dozen NFL WRs in that stretch, and a recent history of starting transfers at QB in Mettenberger and Etling), or Cincinnati (a mid-major that had yet to make a major bowl at that point).
He was almost certain to come to LSU.

Even had it been Miles: he turned Mett and Jamarcus loose. He wouldn't have had as innovative an offense maybe, but it would have been similar to what those guys did. And Burrow would have taken that gladly, since his option was to ride the bench at OSU instead.

Just to piss you off

Before his LSU stint, he was 3-21 VS SEC teams in 3 seasons at Ole Miss. He never beat any SEC team twice, he was 1-2 vs Vandy. To put that in perspective, Curley Halman at LSU was 10-21 vs SEC teams in 4 seasons.
