Culotta texted Eli personally and he said he's not coming back.

He also said that Aranda was the main target for LSU.

With Ponamsky and O out, Cullotta has no inside info. .

Could be another reason for the coaching change and the return of Austin Thomas which is to get some organization around NIL.

Wait Radio God Matt Moscona laughed and said he knew "market value" and kids would not be swayed by this NIL stuff.

The middle men isolate the schools out of it. Bama always finds a way to be the first to get sleazy no matter what the “rules” are changed to.

That guy technically isn't a “booster.”

Bama pays somebody else then the other person pays this guy. “Clean” even when caught.

Difference between Kelly and Ricks..... Kelly has delivered results over many years and built programs that have benefitted many people. Ricks is just potential who hasn’t accomplished or built anything lasting yet.

I understand getting it while you can, but that’s not the personality type that will overcome adversity on a team in the future.

You should absolutely do it. There has to be some kind of rule against this and if not, there should be. It’s tampering.

2 completely different streams of info.

If he's got players' numbers, he's likely going to have direct access to them. That's having a source.

For the coaching search, nobody had any information, so you can't really single any one media person out for not knowing the reality.

Obviously, is a bad look that some of those guys ACTED like they knew, but my point stands nonetheless.

He will be in college for three years what could really be built? Potential is what will get him drafted in the first or second round. The get it while you can personality is the personality type in the NFL and for this kid that all he cares about.

I don't like him leaving but saying he will be a failure because he is leaving a team that has been .500 and dumpster fire for two years is just being upset he is leaving.

NIL creates NFL style free agency with no salary cap and everybody on a 1 year contract. College football will be something we’ve never seen. The genie is out of the bottle. Everyone will have to adapt (including fans). It will never be the same.

I wonder if/how LSU can get some guys like these on our “under the table” pay roll. Quite honestly, if I were LSU, I’d prob try to monetarily incentivize companies within the state to create new, constant, and high paying NIL deals. It’s a matter of time before this occurs anyway, might as well be ahead of the curve. Would be a great recruiting and retention tool.

Everybody wants to brag about Huey P, especially in the same breath as LSU so might as well do what the Kingfish would have.

My point was it’s not reasonable to compare Kelly to Ricks. Different situation.

Ricks is missing out considering LSU is on the fore front with NIL.

There was a thread posted with Bech and Mason Smith charging for an autograph signing coming up soon. Why wasn't Rick's doing that? Or is he looking to just make the maximum amount of money, for the minimum amount of work? People like that usually don't fare well in the NFL.

This is just ridiculous. Very few kids will make money, and even fewer will make big time money.

Ricks is the best cover corner in America. I’m butt hurt too but let’s not let that cloud judgement. Our defense would have been even more improved with him

Until we lose 2 games next season and he decides to opt out.

Bama isn’t going to take a paycheck player for one year who has learned that you can quit playing the moment the check clears

He won’t last 4 games next year before there is some mystery injury or personal issue that he needs to address.

If this is going to be like the NFL then schools should be allowed to cut your arse any time they want and keep a practice squad.

The only was to curb this is to incentivize play but the school would most likely have to work in the shadows. Create bonus for certain in-game/season situations or statistics coupled with games played and hide the money in plain sight.

The school doesn't have to do anything. To me, businesses offering these deals would want to see their investments out on the field. They are the ones who could put it into contracts, but then I'm sure that would just lead to more fake injuries when kids want to call it quits.
