We're all rooting for him to do well, you idiot! The difference between you and those of us that speak outwardly against O is we don't believe HE WILL do well.

just can't figure out why Alleva hired a guy that has never run a successful program. I thought the interim part was something to get optimistic about but I was very mistaken.

You and I have had our little differences about that topic but you were correct there, I was wrong

an interim coach can create a" Rah Rah" or "circle the wagons" type of motivation which can work for a certainamount of time but that Rah Rah is gonna wear off at some point and you actually have to coach.

I can't believe that this is going at LSU. I thought of this the other day, this is the lowest recruiting class ranking prior to Miles getting hired and even at that, we had already won an SEC championship by 2002 which was the last time we had this current recruiting class ranking, if memory serve

the sad thing is that anyone with a brain could tell you how pivotal this hire was for the LSU program. we could hire a good coach and he could continue on to what Saban and Miles accomplished
OR
we could hire a bad coach and lsu would
drop down in the sec west pecking order.

with our program on the table, our ad bet on one of the most unqualified hires in Big history

I cant believe he would do that.

Miles wasn't getting the most out of his players due to his offense philosophy and that's what got him fired just as much as his record. If he would hav3e been getting the most out of his players by running a winning type modern offense he would still be here even with some bad losses.

Complete bullshite. He was fired for November’s. When he lost in September / October he was fired.
Let’s be clear. Miles sleepwalks through 2017 schedule and wins 11. There no way in hell he loses to Troy moron. Never had a loss at home to an OOC opponent. NEVER.
Hell he finishes 2016 with more wins because he doesn’t lose to UF at home.

Yes, but Miles was faulted for hiring and retaining them. Your boy, O, is always the victim.

He’s been the LSU Coach for one year. A year in which he accomplished nothing and acted as he did at his last head coaching job. There is nothing in his history to show a pattern of success or an ability to properly manage a championship team. Quit acting as if Ed Orgeron has a history of building programs and ultimately championships. He does the opposite.

I'm a posi-Tiger who graduated from LSU in 1984. Season ticket holder of big 3 sports. There is NO WAY not to deny the downward slide of the program. My only hope is that it is not a slow motion car wreck, and that things implode quickly.

Miami was a nothing school with zero pedigree until someone believed they could be more. They then proceeded to beat the blue bloods for a decade and establish themselves as one of the powerhouses of CFB.

You are right, no one is good forever, but to accept the clown show that is currently LSU football doesn't make you any more of a fan than those who do not accept it. Maybe those complaining about the current state of affairs care more about the players and the program than those willing to give them mediocre leadership and coaching.

I fall into neither of your 2 categories, I am old enough to remember the bad years and don't think we deserve anything; just the opposite, we should earn it. Unfortunately LSU is not putting the football program in a position to earn anything.

At the end of the day I want the Tigers to win and if we lose, at least we lose having given it everything.

I'm 48 and I remember the bad times. The thing I learned from that is it's easier than most think to slip that far and it's very difficult to dig your way out again. THAT is what the Orgeron fans are taking for granted right now, I.e. that we can afford to experiment because it won't hurt too much to correct later.

But I also learned that LSU is capable of great things in football as is Louisiana. However, it takes the right people to do it. There's no shortcut to finding them either. We tried that in the 90's. Ties to LSU, Louisiana, other legendary coaches, sentimental favorites, none of that is what's important.

So forget this crap about accusing people of being "entitled". That is just a narrative created by underachievers
All this. Including my age.

I had an acquaintance tell me this week that Eauxf is the most charismatic coach in the coach and that, when I pointed out how he's a slimy and not to mention underqualified HC, he just said "blood is thicker than water!"

This is the mentality of the Ogre supporters. And we will get what we deserve (return to the 90s) if these guys are what our LSU leadership think are the voice of the program.
