I re-watched the game and focused on UF's giant defensive lineman for a few plays.

His name is Desmond Watson and is number 21. He is massive.

6'-5" 415 pounds.

The funny thing is Charles Turner seemed to handle him pretty easily. Sure Turner is 150 pounds lighter but Watson couldn't move. All he did was occupy the middle of the line and our RBs would just run around him.

He is terrible, can’t even eat space. I would let him get in and run hurry up (no subs) runs right at him if I were calling plays,l. He got pushed around and he was breathing heavily after one play.

Yeah he struggled just turning around in an attempt to tackle. Poor guy.

They should just tell him to dive in his gap and make a pile.

Any time he is on the field it should be hurry up offense not allowing him off.

Dude is large but sucks, he is probably just too fat

He looks like he ate Tyler Shelvin.

At some point if your just big and fat it’s not very useful.

I think he was actually a big factor. He was the guy who got the roughing the passer penalty at the end right?

Nah. Different Florida D-lineman.

ETA: It was Gervon Dexter that drove Jayden Daniels into the ground and got the roughing the passer penalty. Still a big dude. 6'6" 315.

No.

If that had been him, Jayden would’ve died. And Greg McElroy wouldn’t have been trying to justify the penalty (or maybe he would have still…)

Turner was better against the big guy than he was against the other DTs.

At 415 this cat best start worrying about his health! Screw football! He’ll be dead before he turns 30 if he doesn’t start worrying about his health! Shame on any program who has and more so is letting a kid that weighs 415 play!

Back in the late 60s Lutcher played Rayne and Rayne had a DT that weighed 375. He was there only to stop Lutcher from running up the gut. The guy was super wide in the middle.
