This one stings. It was already a tough season. But having BayouBengalDTX quit makes it far, far worse.
Does LSU win the NC last year without Stanfield, Braswell, Hernandez, Dickinson, Eyanson, Cowan? That wasn't just "final touches". That was 3 of 5 infielders, your No. 2 SP, and one of your 2 best RPs.
This season there is a lot of "homegrown" players getting the majority of starts: Brown, Curiel, Milam, Pearson, Arambide/Serna. Plus, many of the guys with the most appearances on the pitching staff, Evans, Schmidt, Rizy, Guidry, Williams, are "homegrown"

if we didnt use the portal we couldnt field a team by rule. I dont think anyone has enough players these days without hitting the portal
