So no one other than him ever accomplished the fact that was stated? So he was obviously garbage.
I did not say he was garbage. I am saying he is a great talent but gave little effort.
I think he will be a mediocre NBA player based on his lazy demeanor.

I no longer question Ben Simmons' greatness.
I don't question his talent but "greatness"? That remains to be seen.
Personally, I think he started the malaise and discontent that is evident in this team.
He was out for himself as was Quarterman. Jones lost control and respect.
It's a moot point. Jones has failed. The end is near and we have to see if there is anyone who can put out this dumpster fire and begin resurrecting the program. It's going to take an exceptional hire. No one will be beating down the door to lead this program. It's going to take a large stash of cash.

Most overrated player in ncaa history

Even tq is on an nba roster.
Top 5 in all categories is a great accomplishment. Calvin natt.? Larry bird.? No. Ben simmons did it.
I question his greatness though because he never learned anything. His jumper was still not a go-to shot.
I question his greatness because he did not lead by enthusiasm.
I suspect he will blossom in the coming years if his body holds up.

I believe his fellow team mates did a great job last year.

Not sure anyone questions how talented of a basketball player he is BUT talent is only part of the equation that makes a player great and Ben is lacking in all the other categories.

you do realize we had Hornsby and Victor right? He isn't the only guy missing

I tried to tell everyone who would listen that without him they were basically a low level NAIA team. An effortless 20 and 12 on a team that beat the passion out of a basketball virtuoso by wasting him on the block and not putting the ball in his hands.

Decent Player. Taken Number 1 overall in NBA draft. Sadly, we didn't deserve him. No generational talent will ever make that mistake again, though.

If I had the time or inclination I could bump several threads where many on here agreed we would be better without him. That Simmons was somehow the problem on that shitshow of a team last year.

He still has not scored a point in the NBA.
He is a great talent and I know he is injured but his nonchalance personality is going to catch up with him.

Some of you still crack me up trying to down this kid. He only had the greatest freshman season in our program's history. One of the best in NCAA history.
But hey, he hasn't played in the NBA yet because he's hurt so let me get in another shot at him.

wait what? we should have played him on the block more (only place he truly dominated) but instead he wanted to play PG and defenses knew he couldn't shoot a jumper and played off him hurting his ability to take his guy off the dribble
