No one hates losing more than I do. I've been a LSU fan longer than most of the semi-literate "experts" here have been alive and I'll be one as long as I'm still breathing. LSU deserves better from it's fan base. Look around the nation, check the record of the top 25. How many other programs have to endure the behavior & comments from their own "fans" that LSU coaches & players do? As a team, LSU would be better served if those of such negative mindset would just move on to "support" someone else. I'm of the opinion players and staff would welcome a bit fewer but albeit it true, loyal, fans knowing that their best efforts will be supported even when, the inevitable loss happens.
Nobody - nobody, hates a lackluster performance more than the team. If the guys doing the work had the attitude of the negative fans then we'd just quit, fire the staff, bench half team, send a message of uncertainty to recruits and well, you know the rest. Is it so hard to actually support our team without cannibalizing them when they sometimes falter?

Im with you Slippy. You are not a bad fan just need a break as do I. I made the mistake of listening to Les' press conference today and even though I like Les, I was more upset than before I listened to it.

Then quit. No one will care if you leave.

Just remember how excited you were when Dinardo's team made the Independence bowl in '95 with a 6-5 record. Enjoy the good times and forget about the bad. There's nothing we can do about it anyway (assuming your not in the top ten of the TAF).

That's how it seems now. I accept the results a lot better than I used to though... 1/9 didn't end it, but watching the O line let Mettenberger be killed in 2013, him dragging himself off the field, and Miles sitting there impassive and lost did.

No. But a quality product would be nice.

He's the king of starting asinine threads and then not responding to any of the comments. Look at thread to post ratio. Huge douche

Whatever, dude. I usually just post what's on my mind and then go do something else and then forget I posted.
I love LSU. I have degrees from LSU and a daughter who is a sophomore. I have a lot invested for a very long time. I have gone to hundreds of LSU games. When we're bad to mediocre, it's not hard to be a casual fan. When we're good, or the hype machine gets going, it's easy to get sucked in. The letdown just makes me ask why the hell I put myself through this. I'm not quitting. I just need a break.

How about you get a life. You have been on here for 11 years and have over 20,000 posts? So everyday for the past 11years you have come on a site about LSU sports and posted crap 5 times a day. Think you really have any room to judge anyone about their life decisions?

Here's the thing. For one, if you're here, there is no quitting it. You're hooked. Secondly, if you're here, you care enough about the game itself to have a shitty Saturday night after a loss. The "get a life it's just a game crowd" is pretty ironic, coming from a message board poster. That's just the way we are. We care enough to bicker about it on a message board, let's not pretend like a loss doesn't put us in the dumps no matter what team you're cheering for. Less than 1% of college football fans care enough about it to post on a message board year round. We have a problem, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Embrace it

Slippy I feel you. I have heard a lot of fans saying the same thing that actually pay for season tickets every year. You see, there are idiots on this site that will say you are a loser and bla bla bla, but have never made a check out to LSU in their lives. They think they should have the say so as actual people who pay for the product on the field, which makes a lot of these idiots a complete joke. I don't see any of these asses making fun of you asking how much you want for them or how they can buy them. They are just supper couch fans who criticize the real people who put their money up every year.
