The ULSU Athletic Department, for some reason, has continued on with Bertman's "Cheap and Half-arse" legacy for some mystifying reason.
We can't even build a solid "Batters Eye" or put up off the field bullpens that don't resemble something at the high school level.
And yet LSU, STILL leads the country in attendance. Guess the fans don't care that much, they just want a winning program

Box would be top notch if they would get rid of stands and go chair back throughout
Most of the outfield bleachers don’t pay TAF seat fees. Some pay $80 per ticket. In contrast green seat fees are $550 per ticket, gold $750 and champions club is $2400. Any improvements are going to come with raised TAF fees for the bleachers. LSU has said they want to keep those affordable. I have no issue with upgrades but people need to be prepared to pay more.
Here's a breakdown of the Tradition Fund contributions for different seating areas:
Gold Grandstand: $750
Champions Club Home Plate: $2,400
Champions Club Dugout: $1,800
Grandstand: $550
Field Level Loge: TAF
Outfield Bleacher Prime: $80
Outfield Bleacher Regular: N/A
Home Run Bleachers: N/A
Right Field Bullpen Bleachers: N/A
Gold Field Box: $750

You guys do realize Arkansas' OF seating is bleachers, right?

Building a berm does not value the fan experience, it just makes sitting in the outfield even more miserable than it already is on a hot, muggy day in Baton Rouge.

I think most people would prefer to sit in a lawn chair and bring their own ice chests than sit in bleachers on a hot muggy day. It would also move all the people that stand in the walkways with SRO tickets.
It’s mind boggling to me that people can sit here and die on the “those stadiums are not better than the Box because of the attendance numbers” hill with a straight face while visiting or watching games on tv in Baum Walker or Dudy Noble

Then build something like Mississippi State, not a fricking gross arse berm that would be a swamp for 75% of the home games.

State's stadium and alcohol policy is incredible. It is by far the best stadium and atmosphere in college baseball.

Well, State has had berms down both lines since opening the new stadium.
Also, I didn’t say anything about a berm.

Yeah and they suck.
You know what I'm talking about.

I liked the Old Box much better.
All they had to do was modernize it.
Extend the Grandstand all the way down the lines and renovate the entire structure.
That's all that was needed!
Sacrilege to tear it down; too much history to just blatantly demolish it...........

They didn't have the space to do that.

LSU asked the railroad company that owned the tracks just outside the stadium on the west and southwest side of the stadium for permission to build closer to the tracks on land the RR owned and the RR company said, "Nope."
They didn't want the liability associated with a possible derailment taking down part of the Box's support structure.
Plus, Skip was insistent that he wanted a 10,000 seat capacity stadium to meet ticket demand and a remodel of the old Box would max out seating capacity at under 8,000.

Would love to see a sitting berm in outfield too.
Not much room for a berm.

LSU should copy that.
Suited down all the way down the lines. Covered chair back seats underneath all the way down the lines.

Why have seats when you can sit on the ground, amirite?

Arky and Starkville are both better than the Box. It is tragic that LSU does not have the best stadium in college baseball. The coaches, team and fans deserve it, and the resources are available. Hard to rationalize
Isn’t the box fairly new for crying out loud?
I thought it was considered the Best not that long ago
That’s the problem with athletics at this level everybody is trying to one up the next one
Now we’re paying athletes so it isn’t going to get easier
