I know we basically “stole” one from vs USCe, but man the USCw game stings now

Awesome improvements from the Tigahs since the USCw debacle. But man, we’d be a virtual lock for CFP if hadn’t lost to Trojans.
Oh well, keep winning.
Oh well, keep winning.

That game was sooo frustrating because we were clearly the better team and more talented on both sides of the ball. It’s like we were sleep walking and weren’t close to ready. We should have beaten them by 3-4 touchdowns.
So frustrating.
So frustrating.

There are no stolen games.
We did what we needed to in every game but one.
None of our wins were because of a bad call we just grinded for wins.

The defense wasn’t quite gelled against usc.
If we play them now we win by more than one TD.

It’s pretty shocking how CBK can’t seem to figure out how to get them ready for a game week one.
To be fair they caught some breaks too

It’s not only shocking but also disgusting.

I'd rather have a loss to USCw than USCe.

We should be thankful that game happened in week 1. The team realized they weren’t where they needed to be, and improved significantly since then. Losing that game may end up being the best thing that could’ve happened to this team.

Yeah that's looking like a really bad loss. That's the tough part about those big season openers. Since then, we've settled in and developed. Think we win easily today but the defense and even the offense weren't in sync in game 1

we didn't steal anything. That's a loser USCe fan mindset.
they blew a 17-point lead
They didn't close the door on us when they had a chance.
suck it up, Cocks.
the USCw game week 1 hurts right now because they kinda suck.

We had burns at deep safety, sage at cb, Alexander wasn't back yet, weeks was a backup that played 12 snaps, swinson was a backup to shand. Perkins was sitting flat footed at mlb.
The coaching staff did a very bad job at assessing the teams talent, when all of the above were players on last year's team.
What they've done a great job of since, is utilizing guys to where they are better football players (burns at star and blitzing, covering flats, sage deep safety not cb, shand to dt even if due to injury, weeks, durham, and swinson common sense after how they pop on plays and film and in games).
We lost to usc because the staff didn't have the guys in right positions to start the season. They didn't see swinson, weeks, durham were best players on team in spring and or summer. Tough to do that in practice reps, simulated scrimmage, etc. So credit to them for adjusting really well, and scheming to the teams strengths.

You could argue we should have won vs Trojans and lost vs Cocks. Cocks had us dead to rights the whole damn game.

ehhhh, kinda hard for me to agree with this. being there, seeing the size of the holes\running lanes they had, we were beat at the point of attack on a lot of plays, even on O when we had some 3rd's and they brought pressure.
it goes to show how much better they have gotten in the trenches, because USC now looks like a joke of a team, likely more of a reflection of their coach.

Horrid game preparation and got out coached big time in 2nd half

We’d be sitting pretty with 0 losses
I don’t see us losing two more at this point

Miller Moss was super sharp against us. He has not looked as good since. In addition, our defense has improved since then, and the oline has as well. We finally started fast offensively, and the end result is much different.

No it doesn’t dipwad. Matters not. Now would like to win of course to move up a couple spots.
