I keep watching this Brian Kelly PMAC speech, and...

...for the life of me I have no idea what they're talking about with this southern accent thing.
I know this is a dead horse and I apologize for starting a new thread about it, but the lesson I take is that the sports media is every bit the assclown factory the news media is.
BTW, to make it worth everybody's while, I heard this evening that Kelly likes Andre Carter, and that Carter and Corey Raymond look like they'll both be back AS OF RIGHT NOW. But if Notre Dame doesn't make the playoffs, and they probably won't, there will be a couple of coaches off that staff who could take a second look at coming here.
We'll see. I am not gonna claim insider status and I ain't guaranteeing any of this as gospel.

"Family" sounded weird, sounded more drunk guy than southern to me. It's just internet groupthink laughing at an extremely slightly funny thing.

It sounded like what a northeastern dude thinks a Louisiana accent is. But who cares? I don’t think he was catering, the southern culture is infectious.

It's much ado about nothing. A complete lie, fabricated by media libs who can't believe he left their beloved Notre Dame. LSU is better job by light years and Kelly knows it.

For real. It reminded me of "I couldn't care less about the team strug-a-ling" than it did a southern accent.
If BK had actually tried a southern accent I'd be laughing along, it's ultimately not a big deal, but its kind of cringe how much the media is trying to force it if anything.

At one point, he started to say basketball instead of football. So I chalked the whole thing up to him having a couple adult beverages. Seems like a non issue to me.
