Nix has been inconsistent for certain. But not as inconsistent as TJ. The difference, I think, is that at this point in time, TJ still throws into coverage as though he doesn’t think he will get intercepted. However Nix knows he will and has better wheels.

I mean I’m happy for the kid but it’s not like he’s got to beat out Joe Burrow. Bo Nix is……not good.

If he can focus on his footwork and get the scheme down I think he'll do well. He has the physical talent and needs to refine some of his mechanics and get more consistent then he'll have a good shot to play at Auburn.

he could take bos job

It's possible, given that Bo is at best a mediocre QB.

Finley--LSU--2020 stats:80/140 57.1%, 941 yds., 5 TD, 5 INT, 118.2 rating. Also 34 yds rushing and 1 TD.

Now these aren't terrible stats, especially for a QB who was not highly esteemed by LSU fans last year.

Finley is a big time talent. His poise is so rare for a young QB.

Its Nix's job, even if TJ outplays him at practice going into the first few games of the season. But Finley will eventually get his chance to lead Auburn. I dont know when that is, not even sure what year it will be.

But he's going to get his chance. Whether he has the intangibles to win the big winnable games or not, is anyone's guess. Im pulling for him every week but one each season.

TJ is another version of J R. On a lower scale. He better get that degree cause that a$$ is not going to play any significant time in the NFL just like Russel.

Agreed. Nix isn’t great. But he has seniority and if that’s important to Harsin it’ll be hard to beat.

Hope the admin are working today and will kick this over to the SECR.

Hell, I posted a Burrow and Chase thread couple weeks ago and sum-bitch was moved to the MSB fast than a rattlesnake strike.

Nothing against the kid but he’s the QB for Auburn now. I hope he doesn’t improve too much

Imo, he's better than Bo. Neither are great.
Man, Finley was a freshman who looked very good to me - for a freshman. It would not surprise me if he became a very good SEC QB.
