I for one prefer flying under the radar. I don't like all this LSU in a blowout crap. Oklahoma is a dangerous team....and the fanfare makes me nervous. (Yes..I know I'm not playing....but I hope this team is focused. I trust O and Burrow to make sure they are.) Never thought I'd say this...but I'm getting tired of the hype. Get this dang game played already!!!

The game is played on the field. LSU being talked up by the media will not have an impact on the game. Relax. We will be just fine going into the new year.

It's been like this all year and it hasn't had an impact yet. What makes you think it would have any impact in a semifinal game?

They aren't watching media coverage any more now than before all the other big games. Fan sentiment is in no way indicative of player sentiment, despite so many posters who project nonsense otherwise.

I can’t think of one time this year that this team looked unfocused. There’s too much veteran leadership and mature young players to lose focus at this point.

I get that. But advertising books about the remarkable season before the season is over??? (Yes...its been a remarkable season...but if we don't finish....it's gonna lose its luster (aka 2011. Books should come after the season is finished.) I agree with the posters above...we handle business....just always wary when a win is a forgone conclusion.... Carry on.

This team has been so focused and leaving the symbolic rivalry trophies on the field. Cringed when I saw a guy with the SEC Championship hat on flight to Atlanta. Trust O and the players should have fun along the way, but this was out of context.

I'm also concerned. There is a reason that Saban - arguably the greatest CFB coach of all time - calls media accolades and awards "rat poison." It absolutely can affect the team's intensity and focus.

Is it possible that Coach O has found a better rallying tool than Saban?

Is it that hard to believe that the group of Tigers we have is better and more focused than anything Saban has had before?

Burrow is that good.
Clyde is that big of a presence and leader

Aranda keeps them hungry...

This team is destined boys

LSU getting all kind of media love concerning the Oklahoma game. It will be a very different story if we make it to the natty, especially if it’s Ohio State we’re playing.

I just have so much faith in Joe, Cushenberry, Jefferson, Orgeron, Queen, Delpit, Lawrence and Fulton to keep their eye on the prize.

The leadership on this ream is some of the best I’ve ever seen.

The players have plenty of other things to distract them

Dude,

It is not the players fault they are 14 point favorites. or maybe it is seeing how good we were this year.

What do you want...LSU to be 12-1 and backed our arse into this playoff? We will handle our business and I feel its great to be on top the mountain and beat Bama, Win the SEC, be Number 1 heading into the playoffs, with a great early signing class, etc. Win or lose, I am a very happy LSU fan and enjoyed the heck out of this season. But, the team is focused and should handle their business on the field Saturday
