That was years before global warming though. It was a much more comfortable experience back then.
Probably because people weren’t “Inside People”

I definitely felt bad for the east side. It was packed at
Kickoff and by end of 1st was half full.

The heat was the main reason LSU started playing games at night

Look, I’m not saying don’t drink, I’m saying people complain about the heat. I’m drinking before the game but drinking heavily before the game and then bitching about the heat is stupid.
You’ve just decided everyone who passed out was drunk, based on absolutely nothing but a random narrative in your mind.
People like you are the root of half the problems with the modern world.

It was pretty hot on the east side. I lasted until about 8 minutes left in the 4th. Then, I had to go inside the suite and get another drink.

I saw 2 old lady’s wheelchaired out. It was the hottest LSU game I can remember.

My son was there and looks like a lobster. Today was brutal.

How the hell is this upvoted so much

I was in the sun the entire game.
Don’t get me wrong, it was hot. But I didn’t feel like it was nearly as hot as people were making it out to be. But I spend a ton of time outside.
I think people just spend a lot more time inside than they used to.
Certainly not the hottest game I’ve attended in TS.

As my old football coach used to say, "Spring has sprung, Fall has fell, and it's still hotter than hell."

Next time I"ll choose to stay home and watch in the a/c and be comfortable. No reason to argue about it.

Same, I can think of many worse ones. The second half was actually nice to me. Had a good breeze in the North East EZ. I walk and work out in the heat all summer so I’m acclimated though

Veterans of the Western Carolina game in 2000 (ETA: Coincidentally, Nick Saban's first game as LSU's head coach) laugh at the younger generation.
(Objectively, a 140 degree heat index seems like it is a no brainer, but being at night it does not seem quite as bad as the miserable Miss State game in the sun, sometime in the 1990s. This game yesterday sounds more like the latter, a "sun" event, versus a "lethal heat" event.)

Do you finally admit it's climate change? I don't remember anything like this even ten years ago

Afternoon games in September south of the 36th parallel need to be eliminated. It's dangerously hot, and east of the Balcones escarpment, too humid

10 years ago we would have battled through
We sold our tickets yesterday. No desire to sit through that.

This. I hardly go to games anymore, but today we sat on the east side and used to have tickets there. It was insanely hot, probably over 110 in the stands. I spent the morning doing the yard, and walked over a mile to the stadium - when we got to the stands it was another level of heat from what I experienced the rest of the day.
Shame on ESPN for putting us in that time slot. There are certain schools that should not play during the day in September, it’s why night games are our tradition. We plan a game against UCLA probably 10 years ago and that is the game day experience, a night game would have been electric. They are ruining the product they purchased.
And screw everyone that was SITTING AT HOME concluding that our fans suck for leaving the stands. People were laying all over the corridors like bums. The west side was packed at the end of the game.

Another thing people are not remembering is that the first game of the season was played around Sept 20th years ago. Ten straight weeks of games or maybe one open date some years. Just about all of the early season games were not on TV and started at 8 pm.
