It’s obvious that he’s not going to coach next year, if he even makes it through this schedule.

His payout is something around $20 mil. Please correct if wrong. LSU will do anything they can to make it less than half of that by using all of the crap he’s pulled (like camp story, pics w women in bed, maybe UCLA comment but I doubt it).

I see big lawsuits and toxicity with him as we move on for years, so he can get as much cash as he can. It won’t effect our on the field product but just be a pain for years.

if its not effecting recruiting and on field product then its not really a pain. He can kick and scream like a small child all he wants.

They can’t retroactively go back to this stuff and pretend like it’s all fireable, when they didn’t move at the time it happened

You don't know if these events were notated by employer/ employee meeting. So, at this point, no one will know, Ed will settle on an amount, and alll will be well in tiger land.

The issue with Bielema was that he took a low paying gig with the Patriots for the exact purpose of still receiving his massive monthly check from Arkansas. Allowing him to stay relevant in coaching in a job that should have paid him much more that what it did (his salary was like $50K so it wasn't considered equitable employment in the same profession). His pay with the Patriots was structured. Ark took him and his lawyers to court and settled it much lower if I'm not mistaken.

What I foresee happening is Kiffin hiring him on the Rebels staff in some role, primarily recruiting, and him being a thorn in our sides flipping recruits.

we probably should have moved on the sissy shirt comment or the fishing camp story when it came out.

Problem is you dump him for those and you have to hire squeaky clean which probably means a lame coach that ins't all that great.

He will only settle on an amount if/when he’s ready to take another job.

If those things were noted in a meeting, and he wasn’t fired, it doesn’t make a justified termination all of a sudden.

It's called an information leak. Look what happened to Jon Gruden. If you think LSU can't figure out a way to do the same, you're as stupid as your posts always are.

Well yea if they find new, very serious stuff.

It’s going to be hard to argue by LSU that it isn’t performance-based, tho

Not true, the contract language for a cause firing requires a pattern of behavior. So it would be an accumulation of all of his episodes over the years.

the final straw being telling a TD poster he is going to put him in a fishing hole

LSU pulling out new info to fire him with cause will work against them. It’ll look manufactured. Best course is negotiate and get out with no prolonged drama. The future coach is also watching this exit experience.

I don't know. He threw a temper tantrum when he quit USC. He claimed in Bruce Feldman's book that he danced around his living room when Ole Miss fired him. After the Troy loss, he claimed to not know "the 3rd string back" was starting.

For a guy that keeps telling us he's responsible, he doesn't really seem to take accountability when things go sideways for him. I'm not convinced he'll go quietly.

He's gonna negotiate a settlement. There might be hirt feelings but he'll be here in 2029 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the championship.
