Maybe not win it all, but would have been his most talented team by a lot, add an All-SEC caliber player in Miller with the #2 ranked recruiting class by average and 2 NBA caliber transfers that Wade had already contacted, and they would have had solid depth for when injuries hit. Guys like Wilkinson, Gaines, Fudge and O'Neal would be going into their 3rd year in the program. Of the 3 NCAA tourneys he has coached in his career he made it past the first round in 2 of them. Not a high mark, but its okay that some Tiger fans were pretty stoked for what he had built. Yeah he tore messed it up, but ummmmm its not like had Trent Johnson had he gotten a 5th year as coach would have had anything to be excited about, and Johnny Jones in his 5th year went 2-16 in SEC play. Making the tourney every year and the occasional Elite 8 and a handful of Sweet 16s is pretty good historically for our program.

It's not just Wade, the SEC as a whole has went after superior athletes and the execution leaves allot to be desired.
The execution level we saw on Saturday was far superior to anyone in the SEC

Some of the overboard Wade support falls in line with the same "head in the sand" thinking which had many of the same posters adamantly convinced that nothing at all would come of the NCAA investigation.
I don't agree with posters who say Wade wasn't a good coach but also think he was just that: a pretty good coach.
However, it was crucial to his success to punch above his weight recruiting due to being willing to go one step farther into the dark arts than most other coaches. Never a real mystery why so many recruiting battles were coming down to LSU or Memphis.
What I don't understand is how anyone thinks that he's not getting a show cause which would severely handcuff his recruiting for at very least 5 years.
He would have to not only be a good coach but among the greatest ever to even stay mid-pack in the SEC for the next 5-7 years with his biggest attribute -- recruiting -- diminished by a show cause.

This is the question, and the answer is that it's owned by African Americans and has been since the NBA included them. White Americans can still watch football because there are more white QBs (leaders of the offense and team).

How could anyone possibly answer this accurately. The new guy has not fielded a team yet.

Those that hate LSU basketball are Will Wades biggest supporters. Everyone else gets it, is over it, and supports the next guy up.
It's quite bizarre.

I do watch and attend LSU basketball. Do you? Because I saw The gangsta underachieve for years. What did you see? Do you honestly think LSU basketball was in the same category as those teams that played the other night??
