To be fair they said the same about Jayden

To be fair many were frustrated with Daniels bc he refused the throw the deep ball to avoid turnovers. He would just run for 130 yards per game

For Nuss, he won’t run and forces throws that results in the other team having the ball in the redzone three straight possessions

Then you are stupid. Nuss is Heisman potential under a good staff and another full year. Only 8 starts. Don’t let terrible coaching screw up your view of solid players

he wasn't great. He refused to throw down field. Even with that, his passing stats his first year here were better than Burrow's first season.

He was not mediocre. Neither was Burrow. And neither is Nuss.

JB was 4 years in too, and was projected a 6th to 7th round draft pick after his first year starting because he wasn't that good. There is a big difference between playing and not playing, it is called game experience.

Burrow had significantly different circumstances too. He came to the team in the summer and had to learn a new archaic offense. He also was not a turnover machine. The offense shifted to his strengths in 2019. He also was more than willing to run and was tough as nails in 2018 and willing to get hit running to make his team better.

Nuss is not.

Neither Burrow nor Daniel’s made the selfish and bad decisions Nuss makes. That’s on him and is his style.

He has a great talent but his focus and leadership is simply not there to make the right reads and decisions when the chips are down.

As little as he has been hit all year, nearly every time he has been touched by a defender, he gets up limping. I have been honestly shocked by it.

I’d not for the ridiculously good pass blocking, he would be a turnover machine more consistently.

Again, he has something ridiculous like a 1.5% pressure rate against after 7 games. He didn’t face pressure like he did last night and it showed he can’t really handle it.

so, you acknowledge it's the first time he's faced this type of pressure. Then, you declare he can't handle it? It was his first time having to deal with it. My guess is he'll learn a lot from last night and get better. It's what almost every QB who has ever played QB does.

He’s played objectively bad in almost every sec game this year. Couple lucky/good plays here and there and we get the win but that doesn’t mean he played great.

Daniels and Burrow had two first round receivers to throw to.

Hell I’d say right now, Chase, Jefferson and Nabors might be the 3 best receivers in the NFL and Thomas is also looking like a stud.

We have guys dropping balls that hit them in the hands. Doubtful we have one guy that gets picked in the first two rounds.

Lacy maybe goes 3rd - 4th round.,

I’ve said it and I’ll still say it even after last night’s disaster of a game by him.

Nuss has all the potential to be a damn good QB. His biggest problem is him. He tries too hard to make a throw too often instead of just tucking and running, and he gets rattled by himself at times. It’s all on him whether or not he can make that next step to becoming elite. No one can do it for him.

To be fair, you’re talking about 2 Heisman winners. Also, I would never have guessed Burrow would be his 2019 self after 2018. I remember him saying prior to 2019 that we needed to be ready for 40, 50, and 60 point games. I shuttered at the time because it was a ridiculous thing for a LSU quarterback to say. He obviously knew something I didn’t.

Daniels was in the same spot & I didn’t think he could make the leap he made.

Nuss is talented but lacks game experience. It’s difficult to be critical of him because the same thing that makes him a liability is why he has so many leading stats. You live by the sword, you die by the sword

You can’t win a game with 3 missed FG’s and 3 picks.

9 career starts 0 running game and awful play calling, and we ask him to be what Josh Allen asked to do in Buffalo.

Asking him to throw it 50 times is a failure of coaching.

Daniels family had money . He took both receivers with him to Cali to practice . I am sure he had coaching ( not LSU CBK coaching ) that family paid for . Daniels mentioned taking receivers to Cali jewelry stores to shop . Times have changed . Now , Daniels worked extremely hard and had a miraculous transformation from a guy who held the ball forever to a Heisman winner . That is all Kudos to Jayden Daniels . He put in the work , he had a miraculous transformation , he deserves the Kudos .
