I think he loves the college football atmosphere itself more than anything. The fact he was able to be at the flagship school of Louisiana was prob icing on the cake for him at the time to be able to take over for Les, who did not leave the roster totally bare for him, so he was able to walk in and not have to rebuild everything. .I believe his biggest fault to the school(not including off field scandals etc), was after they won the natty, he sat down and renegotiated a contract with Scotty. That was unfair to LSU and is not something you can just say"hey my bad guys". That's where he scammed LSU and Woody. That was messed up. But, before that he did a good job for most part. Could have been 3 years and done for Ed. Prob should have been. But, easy to say now looking back.

I do not think this was an issue. It was many factors lead by unprecedented turnover from 2019 to 2020

Exactly. This guy gets it, unlike the other autistic morons posting in this thread.

Why do people continue to bring up him and Miles? Who gives a shite? They're gone.

Totally unneeded thread. SMH
His affection for LSU was bittersweet; however, he absolutely did care about the place.

My alma mater (and my wife’s) does not legacy our kids in-state tuition……sad.
So, instead of LSU, we are pushing aTm. Granted, academically, aTm is far superior and the alumni base actually takes care of one another. Never could understand how LSU alums really couldn’t care less about their fellow Tigers:(

I disagree totally but that doesn’t even matter. We’re all allowed to have our own opinions! I’m sure if you were in his shoes you go wherever too until the time when it was best & most convenient for you! Can’t fault him for that at all. I’m ready to move on as well and facts matter. While Brian Kelly is currently the winningest coach in Notre Dame history, he has never won a New Year's Six Bowl, College Football Playoff Game, or a National Championship.Having said that, I’m optimistic that the change in curricular requirements will also allow him to coach superior athletes. Time will tell.

His brain was too cluttered to have an opinion as deep as that. Not the brightest bulb as far as actual coaching was concerned.
