Group of 6 of us coming from Texas looking to tailgate. 4 adults and 2 kids age 9. We are cordial and willing to chip in. Only me and my son are die hards and the others are just coming to enjoy the trip. Considered doing the revelry package but seems overkill just fr 6 of us.

You do realize you will have to eat gator, right?

Hurricanes warnings are out.
You better stay in Texas.

you don't need that crap, just start mingling through the tailgate, you'll be fine, if you don't act like a gator, er, I mean a-hole, no one will let you pass their tailgate without a good natured Tiger Bait! and an offer of food and drink, and don't worry, we don't play that open container noise here

Not sure if this helps.

Out of the many tailgates I've done over the years. Florida fans seem to be the most welcomed - I don't know why. But, just walking around with a Florida shirt on, you'll find people that will take you in.

ETA: People will find you

Honestly you can probably just walk around and take some hazing but then you will be offered a drink and a plate of food.

My sons favorite food. Looking forward to some fried and grilled gator before the game

You'll find this at probably every 8th or 10th tent.

Just wear your gear. Our fans trip over themselves to show hospitality to folks from out of town. Just walk up and waive and introduce yourselves. People will yell at you and then serve you food and drink.

Thanks. That seems like the consensus. Just didn't want to have people think we are trying to intrude on their party and from several other posts Gators aren't well liked among the tiger faithful.

that's true, but when it comes to tailgating, pre and post game, that's more or less put aside

That is because Gator fans have a reputation for being the trashiest douchebags in the south. Anybody that is cordial is well received.

Lie and say you work for chevron/Exxon and head over to the Halliburton tailgate. 100% only operations there, so nobody will verify if you say you’re an accountant/business guy, etc. free food/drinks and there’s going to be hundreds of people go through that tent; it’s a free for all. Or, maybe don’t lie and somehow find a way you’re connected to oil and gas and say you guys used to use Halliburton. That’s if you want a place to go

Might try that. I'm actually in the oilfield and own a bore company in west Texas.

I would 100% do that. I’ve been there plenty of enough times to see it’s a zoo and there’s no possible way to verify who everybody is. If you don’t have a direct Hal rep, call up Hal’s main office and propose some potential BS upcoming work for your company, get a direct contact at Hal and use that SOB to party.

Edit: I now hope that you see an LSU guys’ commitment to partying.

As you walk past every tailgate, look over, smile, and open your eyes big while saying "Something smells SO GOOD!". You will get fed, guaranteed.

Sounds like a plan. We do have direct connections to Chevron production and XTO so technically we won't be lying.
