Sounds like we will be doing an airbnb in Lafayette or Breaux Bridge. We got offered to park at the Cross of Calvary Lutheran church and will walk through enemy territory from there. Thanks everyone. Can't wait for an electric atmosphere. Go Gators.

Where would you recommend staying? We will be leaving Fort Worth around 4 pm on Friday.
UF Fan here again

Congrats on beating Clemson at the fake Death Valley. Hoping we come into BR both 2-0 and healthy. With that being said y'all were very hospitable and courteous when we last visit in like 2019. We booked a hotel way in advance and had access to the Halliburton tailgate. This year is more of a spur of the moment trip. We are driving over from Texas Friday the 12th. Should we stay in Lafayette and drive to the game? Is parking and leaving a nightmare? Should we do airbnb in BR and rideshare? There will be 5 of us. Also we will gladly pay to attend a tailgate that offers TV, high noon lime, and of course the finest cajun dining.
So I’m back after a lengthy stay away. I had the same reaction to Big Honey (Kylan) receiving the LSU offer to the one of Tennessee offering Kaidon. He is a coverage backer at Cedar Hill and is fast and strong. Lots of talk about being a big safety at the next level. Several schools are waiting to see how much more he grows. He blew up from 15 to his current size at 16. 17 in August. Great kid and a superb work ethic. TTU and Okie State probably lead but these SEC offers just mean more. He’s been talking with UF since November but as of now they aren’t offering. Texas was about to offer before his buddy Burrell committed there.

I think so. It's across from the baseball field. Have to have an invite and show your ID.

Heck of a game. Obviously that 3rd and 1 interception late was a killer. Trask played well and made some good throws. Losing Greenard after the first play was bad too and Zuniga wasn't healthy but gave it a go. LSU was the better team regardless so it doesn't hurt as much to lose to a superior opponent. Georgia losing early that day really took a lot of the sting away from our loss. Now the good stuff. We got offered gator jaw meat right after we arrived and met a former player at that tailgate. Pretty good stuff but the chicken they had fried was amazing. We had multiple fans come up to us and ask if we were being treated good and to make sure we were having fun. Not once did we encounter a bad fan. Campus is awesome. People were awesome. Stadium was loud AF. The mock chomp by the entire stadium was clever. LSU/Bama looks to be a shootout and should be fun especially when yall get your other receiver back. Hope to see yall again but we need to worry about South Carolina, UGA, and a Missouri team that seems to have our number. The Halliburton tailgate was ok. Food was mediocre. Will definitely be making the trip every 2 years now. Thanks for the hospitality and good luck for the rest of the season.
Look for the guy with the GEAUX GATORS shirt. I was wearing it at the UT/LSU game also. And we don’t wear jorts in Texas bub.
Good luck tigers

Thank y’all for the tailgating recommendations and travel help from the hotel. It’s been fun reading y’alls posts leading up to this game. Hoping to see an injury free competitive football game and excited to cross Death Valley at night off my stadium list. See y’all Saturday and as always GO GATORS
Thank you. I'll check with them to make sure it runs early enough for us to tailgate.

We are staying there. How do ya'll recommend we get to and from the stadium? Don't really want to drive and look for a place to park with gameday there. Wasn't sure if they offered a bus to and from or should we uber there? Exiting is my worry. No we won't be leaving early regardless of the score.

F$U and UGA are faaar bigger rivals for UF than LSU
Correct. Most UF people would rank it UGA/FSU/Miami/TENN/LSU/Auburn
You could flip flop 1&2 and 5&6 depending how long you've been following the program

Critical field goal yet we won by 8? Guess our missed chip shot field goal doesn't fit into the equation? I'll agree that we did squeak by Miami. Horrible turnovers, suspensions, bad tackling, etc.
re: We will see Emory Jones at QB Saturday

Trask will start but Jones will get early playing time to get acclimated. Trask is a serviceable runner too but it seems he'd rather stand in the pocket for 8 seconds instead of taking off. He missed several runs against Auburn before the injury.

Probably the biggest play was Brown tripping on his own during the fumble return. He scores 7 there instead of them getting 3 or 0, can't remember, then it's a different ballgame. Same can be said when Williams caught the pass behind henderson but fell due to the throw being a bit too long. Trask was already shaky prior to the knee but seemed even worse after as his throws were pretty far off.

There's that hospitality I was waiting for. We will have a great time win or lose.
I would love to see Stingley on Pitts And Henderson on Chase

Perine is not our best playmaker. He is our best all around back. Pierce is the better runner and Davis as well but they aren't great at either catching or picking up blitzes. Perine was actually better last year. Toney would be playmaker #1 but he's hurt so it's either Swain or Jefferson. I agree also Trask doesnt have a strong arm but is very accurate for the most part. He jsut doesn't have pocket awareness. We are very susceptible to passes in the middle because Reese is a great run stopping linebacker but horrible in coverage. Our WR core is deep and hoping to see some jet sweeps with copeland but if we can't pass protect it will be a very long night

I agree. We have some of the worst fans in football.

I've read multiple horror stories of people saying they won't go to LSU again. Heard the same thing about Tennessee. Haven't had an issue at bama, Tennessee, or any of the other stadiums/neutral sites we have visited. We were at the UT/LSU game and all tiger fans we encountered were good even with me wearing my Gator gear.

Sounds like a plan. We do have direct connections to Chevron production and XTO so technically we won't be lying.
