I can remember how excited this board was when 4* QB Myles Brennan committed to LSU

Ok? Whats your point? Taking Burrow in, has to do with right now. Right now, Brennan is not ready. In my opinion, the kid needs to put on at least 15 more pounds to survive a season.

Bros Brennan was always a 190 pound kid who needed to develop physically.
He still may be awesome for us. But he needed to be a 21 year or so before he could physically be that guy. He’s very small.

He still may. I remember when we used to be patient with a skinny freshman to gain size and strength and acumen.
I still have confidence in Brennan’s future. I’ll cheer like hell for whoever is in the game at any moment.
If Burrow is great and Brennan doesn’t even take a snap, he enters the following year as a RS Soph. Jeebus. Plenty of time to do great things for LSU

Well, some of that is on Myles for not living up to the expectations. He did not light it up last year.

shite, before the spring game, the narrative was that this offense was gonna be very good regardless because we had not one, but two quality QBs to choose from.
Remember the hype for Mett before his first year starting and how the first half of that season turned out for him?
Bottom line is that until you actually see these guys on the field in purple and gold, it's all potential and this team is loaded with it. I'm anxious to see how it translates to the field this fall.

I am not writing Brennan off at all, but I wasn't excited as most. At the time, I said he wont start until he is a redshirt junior. He has potential, but he needs to gain 30 lbs and work his butt off to ever be a solid SEC starter. Neither guarantees other recruits wont come in pass him by.

I moved to Louisiana when I was 21 and gained about 30 lbs in one year
I was hoping he could do it too. I remember watching his Elite 11 videos and stuff and was all aboard. And I agree.. I think he'll play eventually. I just imagined he'd come in and start as a freshman based on what we had on the roster at the time.
